  1. Connected to eHRPD but no 3g symbol or working data in status bar. Could they be upgrading tower to lte? Note: sprint customer in nTelos area on wifes note 2.
  2. Any word on Beckley? Ntelos better get it together if they wanna launch some markets by 2014. Been kinda quiet around here. But 3g is a lot faster than normal the last week or so.
  3. I have no idea about iPhone but I'm sure their would be a way to check via settings or an app. Would be a good question for the forums.
  4. I just learned about it from this cool website myself when I joined. But from what I gather ehrpd is what hands ev-do (3g) to LTE and vice versa seamlessly. I downloaded signal check on my EVO LTE and noticed it connected to it almost every time I toggled airplane mode. There is also a thread on here with screenshots of ntelos ehrpd.
  5. Ive connected to ehrpd alot without working data in my neck of ntelos woods via signal check. My wife got the new network coming text but I havent had the 1x issue. Hopefully its a good sign.
  6. My wife also got text about all new network coming. Ashland Huntington area. Hopefully by Christmas.
  7. I'm hearing Nov 1st launch date for Bluefield , and Beckley Wva. My coworker's son works for ntelos. I hope he is right. Not my area but its progress.
  8. I don't think sprint would have renewed jack without some reassurance they will also supply LTE demands for us in ntelos badlands.
  9. Wow was really expecting an overbuild. Now hopefully ntelos gets its head out of its arse and gets onboard with NV.
  10. Yeah I say thats a fair guess to finish. Hopefully when the ball gets rolling we get lucky and get to be one of the 1st markets.
  11. I know when the agreement ends and when sprint can overbuild, just sayn they start jan. 2014 what are we looking @?
  12. Just wanted some oppinions if sprint or shentel overbuild on Ntelos how long til is in Ntelos land experience some 4g lte love.
  13. August 21, 2013] nTelos investors 'spooked' by Sprint overbuild plans [Global Data Point] digg(Global Data Point Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Investors in Virginia-based mobile operator nTelos Wireless are reportedly concerned at rumours that Sprint Corporation plans to roll out Long Term Evolution (LTE) coverage in portions of selected nTelos markets as early as next year. According to RCR Wireless which cites a report by FBR Capital, Sprint is considering outsourcing the planned network build to its affiliate, Shenandoah Telecommunications (ShenTel), which currently serves an adjacent area. nTelos is currently a Sprint roaming partner, providing CDMA services to Sprint customers that roam into its markets, as well as tapping Sprint for nationwide roaming coverage. According to TeleGeography's GlobalComms Database, the so-called 'Strategic Network Alliance' is due to expire on 31 July 2015, subject to an automatic three-year extension. nTelos has previously reported that the agreement provides a minimum of USD9 million per month in revenues. The recent flurry of M&A activity in the US has prompted industry insiders to tout nTelos as a possible takeover candidate, and Sprint's aggressive rollout strategy may yet force the smaller firm's hand.
  14. Either way its good news for me. Im glad sprint is pushing back for us trapped on the island known as Ntelos. Sooner the better. Sending a sos Sprint! Ha
  15. Even clearwire protection sites in rural alliance areas will get lte lordsutch? (Ntelos)
  16. I live in ashland ky a clearwire protection site and is also controlled by a rural alliance (ntelos). Now that the deal is done what does that mean for my community? I hope sprint just buys ntelos. I like wimax just want a new phone. Ntelos isnt saying nothing about our area, or nothing at all actually about NV with sprint or lte other than the dish stuff.
  17. Im right there with you in ntelos land. Come on Hesse just buy em already lol.
  18. Man ntelos isnt even advertising lte on their website yet. Not even a coming soon, id say its gonna be a while.
  19. I'm a sprint customer in ntelos land, hope this means sprint and ntelos will still be buddys and get it here in eastern ky quick.
