  1. So. Along with the SoftBank deal and having a lot of extra cash now, and shutting down iden network..... It should speed up everything else then. Wishfull thinking. Staying optimistic after experiencing LTE over in cocoa. My phone was actually more usable outside of the house, than in my sisters house with her wifi. LOL irony since its the exact opposite in my apartment

  2. Yea once I leave the house (wifi) my phone is grabbing LTE all around me now. But there is no data so I keep getting the no data connection or lost connection..kinda getting frustrating..

Water! water! everywhere yet not a drop to drink!

  3. Agreed. Have you seen much LTE around Orlando? If you have, do you see it consistent yet or is it still off and on? It's tough for me to judge because I am still on the 4S and only have 3G. So I am basing my results on the NV 3G rollout.

Um....It's very inconsistent. What I have been finding is that when it switches to LTE, there is no data connection. And that is bad because imessage runs through data so my messages get screwed up. I get LTE here and there around waterford lakes plaza, and when driving around, but it never seems to establish a connection. Was at Universal and Islands of Adventure this weekend, and had literally no service the entire time...like a black zone over there.

Also, its not many bars, normally at most 3 bars, but typically around 1 bar is what I get. So...Its there, and they are probably still prepping. I wouldn't be surprised if we saw LTE in the next few weeks according to what AVMAU (user) has been saying...that most of the sites are prepped and its only a matter of time.

Just added a picture. That is sitting in my apartment on the 3rd floor. I switch off my wifi, and then it stays LTE  with 1 bar for a moment and pops back to 3G after a few seconds and I have 4 bars.

  4. I agree. Particularly because I am one of those 4S users that is anxious about the new iPhone release and Sprint's network. I have held on since last year when I heard about NV in hopes of change. But if I don't see improvement on the 3G side, I along with a lot of other iPhone users will be jumping ship.

Agreed. I unfortunately had to buy the iPhone 5( and restart my contract)  3 months before I was due for an upgrade thanks to my iphone thinking it was a dolphin, and was very very excited for the 5s... Now I have no choice but to stick with sprint. I think all the extra cash flow from soft bank and hopefully more acquisition of clearwire too will allow them to speed up rollout.

Finally, we might actually have a major competitor against ATT and Verizon. I could easily see Sprint being the #1 carrier in a few years if they pick up the pace and maintain the unlimited data.  B)

  5. Well. Lets hope that with the new Softbank deal all done and complete, they can dedicate everything to getting the 4g lte network up and running. It would be a good idea to have it done before apple releases the next iPhone. Don't want to miss all those subscribers who go to ATT or verizon.

  6. My 4G speed in the UCF area today! Whooosh!!!

    I guess it's progress lol

it's probably overwhelmed. Or they are testing it. Haha no clue. Wish I had my

iPhone 5 when I went to Puerto Rico would have loved to see how fast of a download I could get.

  7. I live in Waterford almost all sites have been prepped. Just a matter of time.

well that is awesome! Quick question. I switch between LTE and normal 3G throughout the day. When I do so, I go from around 3 bars in my house, to 1 with LTE. Hopefully I'll have higher coverage when it's launched then?
  8. That speed test is incredible. Definitely the best one I have seen too. THat must have been that "project" that guy was working on....If only he could work on a few "projects" near my apartment haha.

    Still waiting here.  patiently.....

  9. Ive had this happen in Orange City before the tower got its tweaks.

Well then! that means I should have LTE very soon over here in waterford lakes then. Mine is constantly doing that. However, I do notice that when it switches to LTE I can only get 1 bar in my apartment. But then it switches back to 3g and I have 3 bars....Any logic behind that?

  10. Whatever the little circle on iPhone is, I've been getting that literally everywhere. Along with it horrible slow data speeds.... Today I was at universal again and literally had to turn my data off all together to save battery because my phone was constantly trying to send messages through iMessage... And failing. On top of that I did get LTE in a few places whole down there. Specifically Kirk and Conroy. And on the way back right on the exit to Alafaya from 408... Not sure what's up. Ended up getting a speed test at Kirkland and Conroy. Was super fast, to what I'm used too lol.

  11. I was picking that LTE up all the way at universal today by Wardrobe all the to behind Dragon Challenge but lost it at Jurasic Park River Adventure. Will be so nice when it actually has a data connection. Can't wait!

hahaha. That's funny because I was there all day and had basically no service pretty much the entire park. No 3G, and maybe 1 bar .....
  12. Something I have noticed is that I've been getting ridiculously high pings on my speedtests. I'd normally get 70-85ms, all this week I'm getting 200-300ms.

Data rates in the UCF/WaterfordLakes area have been horrible today! Hopefully that means they are working on the towers.

Yes . They have been absolutely horrid today. Couldn't even establish a connection earlier.....but this keeps popping up :) along with it , attempting to do a speed test lol

  13. Ok finally what I've been waiting for, 4G in the heart of Metrowest!!! Off of Metrowest blvd between Kirkman and Hiawassee.

About 20 minutes ago I couldn't receive calls/make calls or text for about 10 minutes at least, it could have been longer not sure. Tried everything and figured it had to be network and not my phone. I decided to switch on airplane mode for awhile and when I switched back and before the wifi connected I briefly saw the 4G icon. I quickly turned off the wifi and BOOM there it was that beautiful 4G symbol! Albeit it's connected but sadly no data yet (had to turn wifi back on to post this) but I know it won't be long now!

This is exciting! I've been having the same thing happen to me for days now. It'll switch to LTE and I wont be able to make any imessage messages, or use the internet for a few moments, and then it realizes that it's got no data connection and switches back to 3g.  Definitely happy Orlando progress is speeding up.
