Same here on unlocked S22+, been checking daily and didn't appear until today.

Same here on T-Mobile s-22.  Who knows why the n25 band SA mode is still not there.  I would love to know if Samsung or T-Mobile is the culprit when it comes to not allowing n25 SA.   Sometime I might buy a new phone and I would like to know if I should be buying something other than Samsung.   I am questioning if n25 SA and n41 SA are having issues with VONR. That might be  a good reason to delay implementation.

My s22 will not connect to n41 SA unless n71 is also involved. Looks like n71 is needed for the VONR part.

  2. I was just moved from Sprint to T-Mobile billing automatically.  I have been using a T-Mobile SIm with a S-22 for months.

You might want to re-think being moved quickly.

In my account, I was removed from the administrator status and my line was set up as a "kids line".  Of course a kids line is restricted.

My wife's line was now the administrator of the account but they did not know her name. I eventually got it all straightened out, but it sure was not moved correctly.  I have not received a new bill yet, but it does look like the options/pricing might be correct.  I am not positive on this, but hopefully the first invoice will be correct.

I guess for now we'll have to do the "hack" method to enable N25 SA.

Unless they do another quickie update.  If it is the next normal update, it will be in 2023 probably.

I just noticed that the two n41 bands have moved around a bit. The 100MHz band moved up to 520110, placing it right at 2600MHz +- 50MHz. Strangely, the 40MHz band has moved to 512190 which is 2560MHz +- 20MHz. That means that 75% of the second carrier is overlapping with the first. I have no idea why they made this move.

This is probably a mistake????   At least I would think so.

It is strange N25 still isn't available. It can be selected if you do the "hack" discussed previously of opening up all bands. I haven't tried forcing it to see if it works in any area being tested.

I only have one phone and I do not want to hack it fearing I might screw it up.  If I still had my s9 as a back up, I might hack the s22.   I had to trade in my fully functional s9 to get a great deal on the new s22.  The s9 would have been a good emergency back up.  With all the changes, I am not sure the s9 would still work. I traded it 6 months ago and it was working fine then.

Does anybody have a clue as to why T-Mobile is sort of dragging out the full operation of n25?

November update out for locked TM

Yes, FINALLY was able to get this update.   It did NOT add n25 to the *#2263# service menu.  No looking for n25 for me apparently.  I might assume the phone will not receive n25 if it is available.  It sure is not in the list of available bands so I could not disable or lock out n25 if it should give me issues.

Hopefully the November update since we still don't have it.

Supposedly the other two "Big Guys" in the cell phone business have the Nov update.  It appears that T-Mobile is sitting around and not getting it out to their customers.  Is there  a good reason for this or just incompetence?

It still works on my S22 after upgrade to the final official release.

(It also worked during the betas although the settings got reset  a couple of times - that might have been my error).

OK, Thanks for the confirmation.  I live between a couple of sites all of which are on the fringe and N-71 tries to aggregate with band 2 or 4.  When it does manage to aggregate, the data will not flow.  Band 2 or 4 will work fine alone, but not with N-71.  N-71 will have  a SINR of zero or maybe 1.  That results in data freezing and refusing to work.

So, I have to disable band n71.

Still works on my end but I might not the best example.

OK. Thanks for the answer.  Apparently you have the Ultra that COULD be different. I still might hesitate until somebody with a s22 replies.   I sure do not want to lose the ability to band select.

  10. Apparently the s-22 STILL has access to band lock enabled via the #*2263# service menu after installing Android 13????

I want to be sure I can still lock out certain bands at times.  What I hear appears to suggest this is still working but I want to be positive before allowing the update.

Wow, I hope this means it is coming to the S22Ultra soon! Then again, it seems like the S21 is the "chosen" handset when it comes to a lot of things. Whereas the S22 has actively had a number of bands removed from it.

Yes, I have noticed the same thing.  If this phone can not do n25 plus n41 it will be bad for us and Samsung. With the S-22 being the "flagship" phone for Samsung, it does not look good for them.  It should be "first" and not last.

The B25+41 here wasn't all that great either as B25 was only ever 5x5. T-Mobile just widened the Sprint secondary B25 channel to 10x10 in the last month or two (where it's still on air).

Shentel had plenty of b25.  A 15X15 and a 10X10. Now with the Shentel CDMA & 3g gone, that 10X10 could be 15X15. So with the 10X10 that T-Mobile already had, we now have loads of spectrum for B25 or N25. We just need to get it aggregated with the N41.

I do wonder if the mess with cell sites on the East coast because of Ian might slow the upgrade progress due to pulling workers from upgrading to place them in Florida on a repair crew.

In this Samsung market we had B25+B41+B41 for a couple of years until T-Mobile shut it down. LG G8, S20 FE and S21 Ultra.

They never got it to work here. We had Lucent equipment in the Shentel area.  We could get 3 band 41 channels aggregated but the upload was a disaster especially if you were in a weak area.

I don't see any NR B25 (assuming that's the correct reference I'm looking for) reference in the list.  It goes from NR B20 to NR B28 in order.

That is not what I wanted you to discover, but I think you were looking at the right place.  We need to have n25 working with n41.  We need n25 for its upload capability.  Just maybe T-Mobile can activate that without a update from Samsung. I am not sure about that.  You would think that the S22 flagship type phone would be able to do it.

I do not know what is making this hard to do. Of course, Sprint was not really successful aggregating b25 with b41 either. Sprint mentioned it and they were trying. Supposedly it can be done, but I have not seen it yet.

May be because I'm on an unlocked version, but it won't let me go in using that code unfortunately.

I see a typo in my previous message.  Try *#2263#.  Check in the NR5G band preference menu.

Just checked and October security update is available on my unlocked S22+ for awareness of other S22 users to check for - all three software versions show ending in '2AVI5' with file size of 358.86.

If you go to the *2263# menu, can you see any N25 that can be activated that might aggregate with N41 ?

This is not available for me to download yet on the TM locked S22 version.

I found an interesting line.  Under Software Information, there's a carrier configuration version and it errors out updating.  Mine is 2.380001.  I wonder how often that updates.

My s22 is at 2.370001.  When I try to manually update it,  It just sits there for a minute apparently doing nothing.  Then I get the following message:  We can not do it right now. Please try again after 24 hours.

It is a little risky to even think about forcing an update that has not downloaded on its own.  You could be the first person to see a screw-up in the new software configuration.

New beta update out. Nothing new in band selection.

For Clarification, you are saying you do not have the ability to activate n25 in the *#2263# menu???

I am really wanting to see n25 active with n41.

Unlocked has had n25 for a while (at least the s21 ultra)

Just installed the September update on my S-22.  STILL no n-25 showing in the *#2263# NR5G band preference menu. bands 2, 4 & 12 are not there either but 66 is.  Using the TM version of the S-22.

Just updated on Tmobile S22.  Huge update file, almost 1.8 GB.

Please leave us know what features or options are broken with the update.  I always wait a few days until somebody else finds the bug(s).  I am not brave enough to install it on the first day.

There obviously had to have been a software bug in the mix somehow with this....after the 2nd May update, suddenly the Flashlight on my unlocked S22+ is working again.

I have two plain S-22's, no plus version.  The flashlight has been fine.  Always worked through all the updates.
