  1. It may be that they are working on Network Vision, and that is a higher priority for your tower than a data speed upgrade. Houston is undergoing Network Vision Deployment right now. Are you using 3G or 4G?

I'm using 3G, 4G is useless unless you are standing still and have full bars. Too many holes where it just disappears. I understand that they are deploying NV, doesn't really make up for the fact the "fix" got pushed back 5 months.

  2. Is the different colored material around the camera serve a purpose? I am thinking along the lines of better signal reception b/c it is easier to transmit through (think LG and why they use the material they do). Can anyone confirm that or is it strictly cosmetic? I have been unsuccessful in figuring this out. I figured Mr.Hesse would have mentioned it yesterday.Disappointments: I was really hoping they would have thrown in wireless charging for the new EVO LTE especially if the battery is not removeable. I know the camera is not at all about the MP's but I was hoping for 12. Let's face it we had 8 MP's 2 years ago and it should have had a better sensor/image chip then. I think a MP bump would have gone a long way with the ignorant consumers walking into the store not knowing what they want. I would think the SGIII will be in the double digits. All this being said I plan on using my upgrade for the EVO LTE.

The bottom is aluminum, which is bad for reception, and apparently NFC can't work through aluminum at all. Top half is polycarbonate for the NFC and other radios I'm sure.

  3. You will be lucky if you even get half of that from sprint. As much as I love my evo 3d it just doesn't carry the same value like the evo 4g did a year after release. So by the time the evo hd lte is released I figure sprint will give no more than $75 to $100 max for a evo 3d.

Part of that is because the EVO 3D wasn't anywhere close to as popular as the original EVO.

  4. I'm wondering why Sprint even released this. Isn't the same true for a lot of other markets. I know in the DC metro area there is a slew of upgrades shown at sprint.com/network. They should at least wait the 90 days so they can celebrate its completion.

They released it, just like they have for other cities, to show they are working on their network. To give their customers a peace of mind. One of the big complaints Sprint got was that they weren't letting anyone know what was happening.
