  5. So another half-day's work and I'll have something that's actually worth putting on GitHub :)

  8. And yes, despite the Ethernet hookup, I'm using my hotspot for connectivity. Parents' WiFi is slowish.

  9. Fixed my resolution issue yesterday. tl;dr: adding in correct refresh rate numbers works wonders. Full answer here: https://t.co/2aj5pGipP4

  10. It's that time of the year again...to fight with my GPU in an attempt to get three full-res screens in Ubuntu. Help? https://t.co/3vfxA0niNW

  11. Checked before posting, hence the 15x15 PCS A reference. That block is San Antonio MTA. SA is geographically closer, though for TV and network classifications it's a toss up between SAT and AUS.
  12. My N5X won't show bandwidth though. Will see if the A9, M8, S III or Galaxy Victory phone(s) other family members have will...
  13. Looks like I found a new one: 8071/26071. Site near my parents' place (outside Fredericksburg, TX). Which puts it as close to the bottom of PCS A as we've seen so far. As I recall, the actual transmission path on 5x5 LTE is 4.5 MHz wide, so with a center frequency 3.1 MHz above the bottom of the band you end up with 0.85 MHz of guard band going on, or 0.6 MHz if you do your guard band based on a 5 MHz channel width. Conservative, maybe, but they've got 15x15 here to play with on a rural site so aggressive spacing doesn't really need to happen. Service is plenty speedy, though it looks like that's partially because PCS-G takes priority when its signal is good...was hard for me to grab PCS-A outdoors as my phone would go to G or B41 (!!!). This is by all indications a 5x5 deployment.

  19. Not actually the case. My laptop is paired up with the hotspot and not only doesn't require re-logging, but also skips the "hang on, Internet magic is happening" screen on-WiFi-connect.
  20. All three, but I think the threshold for three signal circles is relatively low. Maybe three or four bars on my N5X. And the hotspot doesn't seem to be a particularly amazing performer RF wise. Decent, but not amazing. Also, outside the house I'm getting 15-16M down, 7M up so the tower isn't capacity-constrained. Though it's not quite the same as the phenomenal throughput I get on the B41+CA tower in town; measured 88M down, 12M up there earlier tonight. Not with the Go though...even if it wasn't throttled to 5M for the time being it doesn't support CA. Hopefully they're building another hotspot that does.
  21. RT @official_php: #PHP 5.6.16 has also been released today with seven bug fixes. As ever, the news post and downloads are at https://t.co/…
