  1. Yeah, that's exactly why I bought one. I thought it would be better, but after switching back I'm seeing much better results. What's really upsetting is that 2/3 of the equipment upgraded towers in my city still are only 3G. Frustrating because it's been close to a year.
  2. A 5. I've been carrying a nexus 5 for months but had to send it in because of camera issues. Forgot to take out the sim before sending it off so I haven't been able to use the new one. Don't think I will be anyway. The iphone holds on to what little lte I see much better than the nexus.
  3. I'm still around. Just haven't had any reason to say anything still.
  4. I thought I read they both used a nano SIM. edit: Crap. They are different. So how do I get a micro SIM from Sprint?
  5. So, I just caved and bought my first Android device. I bought my Nexus 5 from the Play store. Is activating it as easy as taking the SIM from my iPhone 5 and do a phone swap online like I have before? It'll probably be a few days before it arrives, but I want to be ready. It's going to be fun having a new toy to play with.
  6. Sikeston, MO. This install is not right. I live 1/2 mi south of this tower and can't connect to it even from outside with a view of the tower. Traveled north of the tower about a 1/2 mi and it popped up. Never saw more than 2 "bars" of signal strength.
  7. Still haven't picked up LTE on the tower that was accepted, but I was just driving through town and picked up LTE for a split second. Very weak signal and it was gone before I knew it. It was definitely not one of the three towers around me (I just drove by all three and network cycled each time and got nothing). I'm wondering if the Moorehouse site is live. I'll probably swing in that direction later today.
  8. The tower accepted was the one by my house. Me or my wife haven't seen it yet. Sad.
  9. So AT&T will light up lte in sikeston on 11/21. Sprint, let's beat them to the punch!
  10. It's all around me! My wife said surely we will have it by the end of the week when I told her Monday that Scott city was up. charleston is lit up now. I'll probably grab that Saturday if no one beats me to it. It'd be nice if the campus towers had lte. They have all the equipment.
  11. Yeah, I grabbed them Monday. I was surprised to see you hadn't got them yet. Also I think Scott city is lit up now. Grabbed that SCID also.
  12. I'm not driving out there but I've heard reports that lte is live in charleston, mo.
  13. Another "Semo" location is nice to see. It won't be long now...
  14. Nope. All 3 towers in the area have the new base units and panels. 2 were 3G accepted pretty fast and the other has languished. I've seen a work truck there a few times, but since its a shared tower I'm not sure who they were there for.
  15. Nope. I am subscribed to both Missouri threads and read everything. I still check on towers locally. It has just been completely dead as far as progress goes down here in my woods.
  16. I believe the St. Louis area has stolen all the contractors. I haven't seen any progress in months.
  17. If true, that will drive me insane since I've seen no signs of anything in about a month down here. How did you find this out?
  18. Yep, looks like a city announced for Summer has some completed work on it.
  19. That has been sitting there for quite a while. I'm pretty sure that the fiber and conduit are already ran since there is an in-ground junction box directly in front of the tower near the road. This is the tower I expected to start broadcasting LTE first in my area.
  20. Yeah, doesn't seem right exactly to me. No matter what, it's nice to hear the last piece of the puzzle might be completed.
  21. T1s? Nice to hear about the Sikeston hookup, but is that enough to run LTE, and does that mean I should see some light up within a week?
