  1. I agree about BGR not being a great source of journalism...but it's a very popular site read by many folks. And the RootMetric's report indicates that Sprint's network isn't much improved since their last report (which I know isn't true for my area).
  2. BGR article on new Sprint's plans isn't positive...nothing about prices, all related to Sprint's "dilapidated network". http://bgr.com/2014/08/19/sprint-vs-t-mobile-network/ Link to RootMetrics report that puts Sprint in last place now: http://www.rootmetrics.com/us/special-report-2014-1h-us
  3. Sprint stock is down right now...not shocking really. Wish Sprint would have made all their announcements at once, instead of piece meal them over several days.
  4. No discounts on new plans. Sprint has a new landing webpage for the new plans.... http://www.sprint.com/newday
  5. I was wondering the time too...couldn't find it on google. This phone is CHEAP! $239 OFF CONTRACT....thats $10/month on easy pay! This is an impressive price point! http://m.androidcentral.com/sharps-stunning-new-aquos-crystal-almost-no-bezel-heading-sprint-239
  6. I haven't seen anywhere about overages? Are they prices at $0.01/MB like the Framily plans (so basically $10/GB roughly)?
  7. Snapdragon 400 is dual core...definitely no better than "mid level" for mid-2014. Should be cheaper though, which is what the target for this should be. Cheaper (decent) phone with the new $100 plan might win some folks over.
  8. They took it down already...lol. I think I remember reading that this Sharp phone is a low tier phone (low end processor at least)...is that still correct?
  9. Don't forget the "unlimited guarantee" that those of is on the My Way or even Framily with unlimited add-on have.
  10. Question: Does this mean no new lines for framily? I was actually going to add one more line soon, it'll be a bummer if I can't.
  11. Apparently more to come by Friday? Or maybe he's just referring to everything except the $100 offer.
  12. Alright...obviously many of us have opinions (myself included obviously). I really am starting to see the benefit of these plans, but I really wish they didn't move without making ALL their announcements. They should have had everything in order first (single lines, network announcements, etc). Not this piecemeal stuff. Overall this plan is a good value for some folks. I know some folks on old ATT family plans paying over $250 a month for 4 lines...this plan would be excellent for them. I have 8 family members on a framily plan, many of which don't use much data (I pay $20 for unlimited). So for mine and my wife's lines, I'm paying $70...it's great. I'm not super satisfied with Sprint coverage, but it's a good value for us.
  13. That's why I'm still a Sprint customer ????
  14. According to the OpenSignal app on my iPhone 5s...my drive is 45 miles to work from north east MD through Baltimore into Anne Arundel county, and I'm at 50% of my time today is on 3G. According to Sprint LTE maps, entire area has LTE ????
  15. http://m.seekingalpha.com/news/1941345 Interesting article discussing Sprint going after high ARPU customers.
  16. I actually have an iPhone 5s...guess my profile is outdated...haha. I've had every iphone available on Sprint ???? Been a Sprint customer for years...still experience awful customer service (likely a problem for all wireless carriers), terrible LTE coverage around Baltimore (home is great, 25Mbps consonantly, but I have wifi at home). I'm just getting tired of being disappointed by Sprint.
  17. I doubt either does anything. Not right away at least. Sprint doesn't have the network to compete right now.
  18. He's right though. This was not epic. Not disruptive at all. Sprint doesn't have the network to compete with big red and blue.
  19. $15 per device fee...plan sucks. Sprint is dead, switch to Tmobile...lol jk But seriously...not that impressed.
  20. $100 for upto 10 lines. You have 3 lines that use 20GB of data, $100. You have 10 lines that use only 10GB avg, $100. This is a GREAT plan.
  21. I could see that being popular and a differentiator...not particularly impressive to me. But I'm hopeful we will see a lot of good movement from Sprint (wifi calling, network improvements sped up, etc).
  22. Well that is interesting...different approach than we have been speculating. Very interesting indeed!
