Softbank news: The Sharp Aquos Crystal is stunning and U.S. bound
WiWavelength replied to jonathanm1978's topic in Sharp
I doubt that a handset dubbed "Crystal" is going to fare particularly well in drop tests -- for any user, young or old. AJ -
PCS/AWS-2 H block FCC Auction 96 results thread
WiWavelength replied to WiWavelength's topic in General Topics
GPS signals are very low data rate CDMA. So, the spreading gain between the data rate and the signal bandwidth is massive. DBS signals do not have that advantage. AJ -

Dan did Sprint commercials. Maybe Marcelo will, too. One idea could have a Legere look alike and Carly say to him, "Sorry, you're too greasy and creepy. I've found a real man," then go and wrap her arms around big, strapping Marcelo. His wife might not approve that idea, though. AJ- 4,425 replies

PCS/AWS-2 H block FCC Auction 96 results thread

Yes, but at the Earth's surface, GPS signals are typically on the order of -150 dBm RSSI. AJ -
If those lines are insulators related to integrated antennas, then they are a go. AJ

Yes, S4GRU supports SETIH -- the Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence Hopefully -- because there is definitely no intelligence on this staff. AJ

Yes, T-Mobile users are a dichotomy. The Magenta loving tech press live in the city and hopscotch across the country and around the world via commercial airline flights. The other T-Mobile users rely on public transportation. AJ -
C Spire, Ole Miss wire Vaught-Hemingway for WiFi
WiWavelength replied to lordsutch's topic in General Topics
Well, I am largely pleased by those answers. If two things do not mix well and make a good concoction, they are probably SEC football fanaticism and booze. Plus, if the university were already making money off of beer sales in the stadium, selling Wi-Fi access, too, would be profiteering. AJ -

Well, here is a fundraising question. Does Ole Miss sell beer inside the stadium? AJ -

Anyone who is still sporting an HTC EVO LTE is just a glutton for punishment -- with an extra helping of self abuse. AJ -
No way, no how. A big negative. People would like unlimited tablet data too much. And as Robert said, it would be "disruptive" to the network. All users would suffer. AJ

But are you going to watch it? If so, when? Maybe when you get some time in 2021? Trust me, Josh, I know this tendency all too well. AJ

That is media. And does it need to be permanently stored on your tablet? See my point? AJ

No NFL stadium charges for Wi-Fi. Is this the difference between college football and the NFL now? Which is truly the bigger money whore? AJ -
My measly 16 GB iPad mini Retina has over 11 GB of available space. And, yes, that is me literally sticking my tongue out at you media, game, and app addicts. AJ

T-Mobile LTE & Network Discussion
WiWavelength replied to CriticalityEvent's topic in General Topics
How is 2007 relevant at this point? If it were, T-Mobile would still be GSM only garbage, while VZW and Sprint would be cruising along on EV-DO. But most people have short memory, have little perspective -- they have moved on, forgiven, and forgotten. AJ- 4,425 replies

It does put a magenta "T" on their chests when they do this shtick over and over again. We tire of it. Their experiences are largely limited to their local markets, yet they generalize. AJ- 4,425 replies

You and your top posting are "lame, bro." And Robert told you how it is. Plenty of members on this site travel more than you do, have a greater national wireless network perspective than someone in Ocala, FL. AJ- 4,425 replies

Everybody, give a round of applause for the comedy duo of maxgentasilver and T-Mobilerrell352. They are so funny and the opening act every night for the John Legere clown show. But, as a reminder, we ask that you please not throw rotten eggs and tomatoes at them for their cherry picking of experience in their piddling little markets. AJ- 4,425 replies

I hope you also have access to the SAC bunker. Otherwise, being so close to Offutt AFB, once you push that button, you are going to be dead soon. AJ

If Mr.Nuke has "full moderator powers," does that mean he now gets to answer the red telephone, has access to the launch codes, and gets to put his finger on the doomsday button? God help us all. AJ

Die, SERO, die. Sorry, guys, but that is the way it should be. If you choose to leave Sprint as a result, best wishes. AJ
