  2. I will post seed test tomorrow and engineering screens tomorrow when i go to work but u have to realize the panels are a good 50 to 75 feet off the ground in rooftops in the city so standing across the street from a tower will give you amazingly slow speeds because the signal is flying over head and optimized to reach a 5 to ten block radius. Unless the panels were pointed straight down to the street you need to be quite a bit away from the tower to get optimal signals. But if you point the panels straight down you wont get a good signal 5 bocks away from the tower. Once its launched a nearby tower will provide users close to or under a tower better speed because it will be farther away and have a pannel pointed at the people who live close and under a tower like my building. I have panels above me on my roof but i connect to towers 4 blocks away unless i go outside.
  3. I would say it just needs adustments. They will adjust signal strength and down tilt over the next few days and weeks at that location and every lte site so just hang tight. Also you may want to try 2 to 3 blocsks away instead of 1. I notice you get the best speed about two to 3 blocks away from the tower. Was across the street of the 23rd &7th tower and got similar results yesterday but two avenues over i got 8mbs. I assume they dont broadcast LTE at a site until backhaul was available but i dont know for sure.
  4. LTE is live in port jefferson and there are 3g upgrades popping up all over the island
  5. I wish that info was avail. I just been seeing a pattern of towers not being accepted in small groups of 3 or 4 in the same area on the NV site maps. I assume that justifies a cluster. But i often wonder if someone knows of an official list of clusters. Also I have only checked NYC and noticed that pattern. Im not sure how it pans out in other markets. I know Chicago was a disaster so the cluster thing is set up to avoid that.
  6. I would assume its overloadage taking all the bandwidth. Everyone trying to tweet and upload photos to Facebook checking emails at the same time will do it. Think everyone is getting a connection but it is super slow (ping 1337 downlink .001 upload .005). So you can connect it will just take 5 mins to load a page. NV should be able to accommodate that many people. In brooklyn barclays stadium you can browse just fine because upgrades are done there.
  7. Yeah its annoying when you have upgrades going through around you but your cluster is still in no mans land but here is my theory on it. We know they like to bring up upgrades in clusters, so all of the sites in that cluster must have completed installs. So my guess is that near Yankee stadium there is an idiot land lord who wont grant techs access to the roof or it may be back haul still pending or even a permit waiting. So one site being incomplete will make the 3 or 4 surrounding sites in the cluster sit unaccepted. That's the only logical explanation i can come up with. I know my buildings roof has upgraded equipment for about 2 months now but the three sites in my cluster has no 4g or even upgraded 3g so i know my buildings not the problem.
  8. Yeah man i know the feeling when i'm up there its super slow on game day. Even my home area has accepted sites around me but my sector is still unaccepted which leaves me with wacky 4g from signals im picking up from far away. The market is coming along but still has quite a long way to go. Sensorly should be all dark purple once every site is complete.
  9. Also bro i just did a quick check for you and i noticed that there are 4 towers that surround Yankee stadium and one that looks like it is in the stadium that has not been upgraded yet. looks like the only upgrades are on 162nd street and summit and one on 167th and sherman. Those two sites are way over loaded on game day and are pretty far away thats why its been super slow. Trust it will get way better once the 4 sites directly around the stadium are upgraded. Those aren't even 3g accepted yet. Since your a sponsor check the NV site complete map and compare it to the NV site map new york markets which shows all towers that are listed for upgrades. You notice the sector around Yankee stadium hasn't been upgraded yet.
  10. "@errinn_p: That's right that guy was supposed to be dead! I thought so smh! #scandal !" Word for real this ish is cray

  11. Shout out to @ThatCoral at the after show keep those rookies in check. I see u!

  12. Again just to reiterate its not about the towers its about an AT&T customer stating they get no service on 54th street right in the middle of Manhattan on a daily basis and the sprint customer who never had at&t who constantly complain about sprint and think that AT&T will work perfectly and that sprint is the only carrier who has complaints. This is obviously not directed at your or most other sponsors on this site but to those who think definitively that sprint is the devil and at&t or Verizon will fix all their problems. THAT SITE IS STRICTLY FOR NOOBS WHO WANNA RUN TO VERIZON BECAUSE ITS PERFECT IN THEIR OPINION! It just gives a voice to subscribers who are on the other networks who aren't lucky enough to have s4gru. Sent from my EVO using Tapatalk 2
  13. Yes I generally agree with you 100 percent. That site is just for complaints and not nearly as accurate and complete as this one is. I just posted this to prove a point. Some people complain even on this site about how bad sprint is and how great Verizon and AT&T is etc. How they wanna switch etc..Speed test this and speed test that always talking as if sprint is the worst and somehow the other carriers don't have complaints. (no joke read through the NYC market and u will go insane with what some people post) so I didn't post this to say its scientific or even accurate just to make aware what most of us all know as common sense. Sprint is upgrading and overhauling the network do its improving and I'm satisfied, but no carrier is perfect. Sent from my EVO using Tapatalk 2
  14. Yeah its def not a definitive list but take the info for what its worth. Verizon is rated number 1 in most places but because of the low number of reviews on that site results may vary.
  15. Came across this website today that compares customer complaints to all carriers and locations. You will learn that every company has issues and significant ones. It will also help those people who want to switch carriers to see what reviews the other companies got. I learned sprint in NYC is rated 2nd and of all four carriers and every carrier has dead zones. (only about 500 ratings in total so far) Check it out and add any thoughts. Each person adds their location under the carrier name for specific coverage area complaints. Everyone has a different experience with carriers so what works for one may not work for others. Just interesting info. Add your reviews. http://www.cellrecep...york/page1.html I don't wanna drive this thread off topic so i made a new one here so respond here if possible http://s4gru.com/ind...t-is-the-devil/

I recommend adding your review and spreading awareness as well.
  17. I just did some nice sensorly input on columbus circle and north...lol great speed 20mbs down on 66th and broadway
  18. Will do I live in the area. Just came back from a business trip but I will map at some point this week when I get some time.
  19. I'm currently sitting in Chicago airport traveling for business and man is sprint sweet. LTE all over the airport great signal speed 4mbs down with -105 and just made my first call on 800smr. Calls are super clear (may just be placebo cuz I'm kinda excited lol...I have an hour before I leave on my connected flight so and I intend to kill off my battery...lol can't wait for this to hit NYC... 21. yup check it out! http://www.fiercebro...-das/2013-04-03 and this http://www.cnbc.com/id/100608424
  22. Wouldnt it be great to live in the expidited Chicago market where lte and 800mhz voice and NV is virtually done. Granted in the beginning it was a mess (calls constantly being dropped and the network was virtually un usable) but i would live with that for a few months to have the market upgraded as fast as CHi Town. lol backhaul delays yeah right...If sprint lit fire under them they would get things done they way they did in chicago..Its all business and unfortunatly they are working at their own speed. More billable hours i guess.
  23. Is it just me or is Samsung better at deploying NV than alcatel. The Samsung equipment seems more efficient. Samsung is used in Chicago where LTE and 3g goes live faster than the alcatel equipment that we use in NY. Here a cluster must be complete before NV 3g Goes live then after that 4G lte goes live but it takes some time.. some people have been saying that Samsung doesn't need to wait for clusters to launch 3g and lte can go live at a site much faster. Also much of Chicago gets 800 voice faster than we get as well. Hoping in the end the results will be the same...Any thoughts? Ok just answered my own question... its not efficiency its method..Samsung is deploying using a better method in my opinion. Difference in vendors. Every vendor is installing both 3G and LTE equipment at each site at the same time. However, the 3G upgrades have to be brought online in clusters. LTE does not need to be brought online in clusters. So Samsung and Ericsson decided to bring up their LTE first. Alcatel Lucent decided to bring up their 3G clusters first and then come back and bring up LTE. I'm not certain of the reasons behind the decision. It's just the way every AlcaLu market has been, except Norfolk, Raleigh/Durham and Charlotte.
  24. Yeah that is not remotely true. Sprint launched chicago at about 60% network vision sites live an about 40% lte live. Just means its widespread enough that most users will be able to experience it somewhere around the city. Means nothing
