After a while it will get old, I can't wait to have that feeling, lol -
It is kind like the feeling you get anticipating Christmas to arrive. You get your toys and play with them for maybe 5 minutes, but you had more fun counting down the days.

I wonder if with the weather and other delays that the crew started work on the surrounding areas and when Knoxville was ready to start work again, they were told to finish up the area they are in now.

There is a tower right on the track, but it doesn't appear to have had any work done to it.

None in Britstol, Tn. Some on the Va side. It looks as though they are working their way towards the track, last time I was there 3G speed was pretty decent, don't know how it will hold up when everyone and their grandma shows up though.

Was able to pick up some 4G around the TN/VA state line. Even saw a guy climbing a tower. Tried to map as much as I could, lost 4G once I got close to exit 20 in Va.

Drove to Corbin, Kentucky today. 3G speeds have improved along with cell reception, it used to drop off between the Tn/Ky stateline past Williamsburg, but I only had I drop call. 3G speeds (eHRPD) were over 1Mbps if not close.

So what are the requirements for a site to utilize 800 MHz?

I am surprised that nothing has been done on I75 north or south of Knoxville

I did, but I was doing 90mph, I am heading that way in the morning and will see what I can map out.

I noticed that also, my phone allowed me to connect for about a minute, I am guessing a S3 will have a better chance of keeping a signal longer.

I have noticed the speeds have improved around Cherry Street. Also if anyone needs to know what the speeds are within a 2.5 drive of Knoxville, I could probably tell you. Off topic but Asheville is showing LTE, I swear there is a conspiracy going on here.

Mapped out some more 4G in Greeneville yesterday. On my way back from Johnson City today, my phone actually switched to 4G all by itself, almost brought a tear to my eye. Also saw an Ericsson truck attacked to a tow truck, between that and the crazy weather we are having, I am going nuts looking for a 4G signal.

Actually JuAnM269 was the one who spoke with the crew, but I don't mind taking the award on his behalf since he is out stalking the Ericsson crew.

Noticed some LTE showing in Chattanooga, I think Knoxville is cursed.

Was finally able to connect to 4G around the Jeff City exit, I changed my roaming setting to Sprint only, that may have helped. Also I was able to connect to 4G around the Johnson City exit all the way to exit 50 for Fall Branch. All in all I collected over 1100 points.
