  1. This is all great news. Hoping sooner rather than later! Loving LTE so far though. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. That is great news! I figured they wouldn't just say "ok we're done here" but I'm hoping to have verizon like coverage with time. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. so after a month of having "launched" LTE in the PVD market I'm not as impressed as i would have hoped. there are a lot of gaps left to fill that i hope will be filled in with time. although LTE is more widespread now and seems to be much more reliable than prior to launch, much of the state still doesn't have LTE and the spectrum they are using doesn't seem to do well in buildings. I'm happy LTE is finally here but i was hoping for more of the state to be covered. if you look at the sprint official coverage maps LTE looks to be available in most places but the maps seem to be projecting better coverage than what seems to be possible. now that providence has launched I'm fearful that the rest of the state will either take for ever to be filled in or will never be covered with LTE. only time will tell. Here where i live in Woonsocket LTE is pretty well covered, although head south into cumberland and by Rte99 and LTE vanishes till you get into north providence. 295 seems to be a game of hop scotch LTE coverage jumping between LTE and 3G every few miles. I do have to admit when i became a sprint customer in 2011 Sprint 3G service was awful. Streaming pandora or spotify was horrendous, today seems to be a much different story. sprint may not have the quickest 3g speeds but at least it is now usable for the most part when LTE isn't available.
  4. Service has been much more reliable in the PVD area. Switching from 3G faster to LTE. In Woonsocket lte seems to be more widespread and reliable. Although there are times all over the state I will hit gaps in lte. Especially along rte 295. Always cutting in and out. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  5. Finally. Providence as "launched" as an LTE market.
  6. does anyone know any app to map cell data on iPhone, similar to sensory on android?
  7. i notice that too, i see it a lot on rt 24/495 also, seems anywhere there is sprint LTE sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.
  8. any news on what happens to the tower on Diamond Hill Rd in Woonsocket between Mendon Rd and Wrentham Rd? It launched with LTE about a month ago but its been down to 3g for a few weeks now. it was one of the first towers in the area that had LTE.
  9. and although you mention launch day is nothing more than a press release, its nice having an idea that were not in limbo wondering anymore.
  10. your knowledge is remarkable. thanks for all the insight, I knew something didn't make sense when someone said what we have now is all were getting. Thanks for showing a light at the end of the tunnel
  11. i would find it hard to believe that whats on now is all were getting, to be honest LTE is spotty at best right now, I'm not sure about iPhones cause i know they connect to LTE much quicker, but my note 2 will drop out of LTE coverage, and will pass through 3 more known sites (295 between exit 3 and 8) cause it took too long for the phone to switch back to LTE.
  12. has anyone seen any new LTE sites? seems to be a dry spell where i am, nothing new but some days some towers are on, some days aren't.
  13. Tonight while driving from Bald Hill Rd in warwick, home to woonsocket via 295 this was my LTE Mapped trip. the fact that I'm approaching 50% LTE coverage in most of my commutes is really awesome.
  14. thanks for the info, thats all great to know. I'm seeing more and more locations getting LTE on sensory by the week.
  15. would you say what is live now is testing and not a final product?
  16. providence market. i remember reading a year ago that it was to be completed around november, but i want sure if that means all markets and if not what markets does that consist of.
  17. its great to hear more and more of the state starting to light up. from what I've read LTE is set to be launched in november, I'm wondering if that means all the markets or just the majority of them.
  18. Providence seems to be having LTE also, some days its on, some days its not. been getting it from the george washington bridge on 195W all the way up to mineral spring ave on 146N. most of western woonsocket seems to be pretty well covered to. also alot of Riverside and barrington seem to have stretches of LTE. ive been mapping my trips with sensorly to give us all more an idea of deployment and availability.
  19. I'm seeing Lte in parts of Cranston. Argyle St to be specific. And along 146 near mineral spring Ave.
  20. i had to do some errands today, I ran a mapped trip on sensory, im heading to cental RI tonight so hopefully i can get more data, in south bellingham ma i got 3G, as soon as i crossed over into RI into woonsocket i had 4G from social st to the cumberland line by RT99. then back up through mendon rd.
  21. im not too sure, i know there are a few towers in the area though
  22. this is what im seeing in Woonsocket currently. ill have to explore more tomorrow and see where else has it, seems like parts of barrington are getting it that weren't there a week ago. also seeing blips in lincoln and providence. this is really getting exciting
  23. Im also seeing more LTE coverage in Woonsocket. seems to be on diamond hill Rd, right now i have LTE at the high school. before i was only seeing it at a spotty part on Park Ave. Hopefully we can see a full deployment sooner rather than later
  24. i can now confirm there is a small spot of 4G LTE on park ave in Woonsocket.
  25. I moved to Woonsocket in january from north providence, when I moved i looked online to see LTE coverage. nothing close at the time, i work in Wrentham and i get LTE there, but anything west of there was only 3g, looks like franklin / bellingham went live recently. I had LTE there and had seen it off and on for a few months. just looked at the coverage map and LTE seems to be deployed right to the RI mass boarder now. hopefully we can see something soon.
