They have nothing but trouble in the Alexandria area. Very frustrating to have trouble and get no answer. All the little towns around have LTE so I know it's close but I am jealous. Hurry spring so they can get it done. :-)

They have decent WiMAX there though. When I was there to buy my car, I was very happy with the consistency of the speed/signal strength.

Well, it's been a while.

Anything new going on around you guys in Minnesota? I live in Willmar and I haven't seen anything change. Still only have LTE downtown, and nowhere outside of town. There is 1 tower left (right across the lake from me) that needs the LTE upgrade.

Anyways, how are things going elsewhere? 

I, too, just got the PRL update. I was sitting in the only class in school that I get an LTE connection, and it forced it to my phone. Nothing noticeably different with it yet.  

Sprint S4 just got the update too. This is a good sign for us, I think.

Since this is my first android, when a new operating system becomes available, does it upgrade your phone, or wipe it completely clean? Will I lose everything when upgrading?

Never know we might get it the 3rd but I kinda don't think so. Hopefully it's sooner than later.

Haven't the other 2 updates (ZV8 and ZVA) been within the first week of the month? Atleast, the first few people got it then.

Well, with the LG G2 mini being announced, they are saying it is coming out of the box with 4.4 KitKat. Once again, hopefully a sign that we will be getting it sooner than later.

Also, the G2 mini come with "Knock code". You knock on your screen in different places to unlock the phone, instead of tapping twice in any spot. Kind of a neat feature.

Pro is just a lot better. They both work great.

I have done nothing out of the ordinary today but my phone seems to be doing a lot more scanning for signal the last few days and my battery had taken a huge hit.

 

 

Initially battery was great on Spark update. Anyone else seeing this. Could network updates be causing the issue?

To me, it looks like you must be far away from a tower and it doesn't look like you have any signal. At my school, I have no signal, and the battery dies a lot faster than normal.

Day 4 and still nothing not that it matters since 800 is basically MIA and im not in a spark area but still would be nice to get a sense of if rf performance increased a little or not.

I still don't have it either, however, my town has really crappy LTE and "okay" 3G speeds. So I am getting anxious to see how this affects performance as well. But, so far, it doesn't seem to do much but enable the other 2 bands and give us a wal-mart icon.

Same here, just going to have to wait.

Still awaiting the update here... I don't want to manually install it, mainly because I don't trust myself. Anyways, has anyone recieved the update over WiFi or 3G? It's seems as though everyone has been getting it over LTE, which I don't have here.

Can't wait to hear the first reports of the spark update.

So, as I heard they will be sending the update out in waves, will they do the same order again? Or maybe different? Because I got my update 5 days after my dad and brother did. It really upset me...

So, if the rumors are true, in roughly 48 hours we should have Sprint Spark. I sure hope so. My moms S3 gets 2 bars of LTE in my house, when I get none. It is a brand new tower, so I feel like it is the CSFB issue.

I guess spark is really close?? That's about all I got.. Sorry for getting off topic..

Hey, don't worry about getting "Off topic". You're right on it! If they launch more markets for Spark within this month, and we get the spark update in a week. I think a lot of people with the G2 will be happy. I know i am excited.

I see some of the comments saying the G2 will never receive the KitKat update. What do you guys think?

Can you tell me if my replacement phone would be brand new? In the tech support Corp store, they had one shipped and it's gonna be here tomorrow, but the only details I have are this:

Model Name: CPO LG LS980 LTE WH XCVER SNGL WITH SIM

And a serial number, plus SIM serial I think. Can't tell if that's new in box or if they even have refurb unless it's insurance related...I'm anxious over getting it.

The other day in my car, I too noticed the high pitch screeching noise the device makes. It was only when I was playing the music through my radio with it charging. I know this has been discussed before, but it now just happened to me. Hopefully they will fix this issue in one of the upcoming updates.

Also, with spotify, I haven't had that problem as of yet. My device seems to be running it great.
