It was ZVF before but I guess in internal testing they found a bug so it is now ZVG.  Honestly I had hoped that the ZVG update would have bumped the Android baseline to 5.1 but that is wishful thinking on my part.

When are you thinking we should be receiving this update? Shouldn't it be within a week or so?

I was in the paynesville, new London, spicer, willmar area over the holidays.   I feel as voice was very good and data not so much.  I would roam and have lots of 1x for data where I used to have 3g. Where I did have LTE I thought it was quite good.  I'm thinking nothing must be optimized in this area.  

Yeah, I too am thinking the same thing. Voice never seems to fail me around here, but data on the other hand. Can't load anything unless on LTE, but getting LTE is difficult unless you're right in the middle of town. Hopefully they optimize stuff soon, and upgrade the last 3G tower to LTE sometime soon. 

Has anyone been noticing any work being done? I am in Willmar, and nothing has changed for nearly a year. Still waiting for 1 tower to get upgrades yet. 

With the new update i'm having issues with Quiet Mode not enabling as well the alarm not working.  Ah well....

My alarm won't work either.. Almost was late for school today!

I haven't updated to ZVE firmware yet.  Are there improvements on LTE connectivity and worth updating to?

I have had LTE in one of my classes ever since the update. Before that I only got it near the windows, it's nearly an 8dbm difference. And yes, it is and always has been B26.

Also, long time no see!

I updated 2 days ago, and honestly I notice a better connection to LTE. In one of my classes, I never have had LTE before and now I have a -109db connection too B26. Unless some optimizing went down over the weekend, I do think I have a better connection.

Still waiting for it as well..

I may be late on this, but did anyone else get the 51102 PRL update?

Tot back to ZV8, update touch firmware via hidden menu and then OTA back up to ZVD. If you are rooted, you could also try to flash the AT&T hidden menu found on XDA in the VZN hidden menu thread OR my teams thread for SuperG2. It will give you access to update touch firmware and may work but it's not 100%.

 

Oh, I should note, if your screen is actually damage none of this will probably work. You can definitely run the Touch Test - Auto with the Hidden Menu we got in ZVC/ZVD so maybe try that first.

The second paragraph, all I see is "Touch Draw Test" No "Touch Test"... Unless I'm in the wrong menu.

I can't get my KnockOn to work. KnockOff works fine.. I have tried calibrating the sensor. Yes, it is enabled. I tried the hidden menu tests, but can't complete it since Sprint locked down most of the menu. Any other ideas for me? 

Maybe Band 26 LTE was fired up but left with eCSFB issues. If Band 25 is congested, the system may be pushing you down to Band 26, which will then put you on EVDO is eCSFB is missing.

I believe once a tower has CDMA 800, eCSFB is no longer an issue. Correct me if I'm wrong..

Was at MSP this morning sitting on a plane outside gate A and was getting band 41 with a download of 36. A lot better signal and speed than inside the terminal.

I got 54mbps there 2 months ago. Was pleasantly surprised.

I cancel my tep and now I fix my phones and is cheaper the g2 is easy to fix, I already fixed 2 of them each lcd/glass part cost me 90 dollars each

The most recent update on the "NV sites complete" map looked like a TON happened in the metro area! That's always nice to see! Still waiting on the last tower in Willmar to get LTE so I can get it at home and school. Hopefully that will be soon so we can get some LTE 800 going! I've noticed LTE 800 is going pretty good around Burnsville and the airport areas!

My Nexus 5 is terrible for LTE service around Mankato and Willmar. My friend with a note 2 had excellent LTE all the way to Olivia and I lost LTE 5 miles south of town with the nexus. I don't think people know what they are talking about with the antenna in the nexus.

I'm from Willmar. LTE is awful here. As soon as you get over either bridge on each side of town, LTE is not usable/non existent. 

I was out on a golf course near paynesville, 56362, and service was terrible, even though things are upgraded.  Really hope the site needs to be optimized, always had great serivice , now it was in and out of service, nexus 5.  Anyone know anything about this.  

I live in Willmar, and when I pass through Paynesville to go to St. Cloud, I get good LTE in town. However, I'm not sure where the golf course is located. I have an LG G2, so yours should be better...

I haven't done the KK update. Don't want to lose the LTE only feature.

Then that is your issue.. :/ People found some temporary fixes, but nothing perminant.

So I took my phone off the charger this morning about 3 something. I checked my battery at about 5:45am  and my phone had already lost 12% with no streaming or screen usage in that time (I was sleep). Google Services was at 66% usage on my battery. Anybody else had any issues lately with Google Services?

I actually haven't had that issue since I got the Kitkat update.

This is the only tower in Willmar as of right now that is not broadcasting LTE. Of course, it is my home tower...

I'm really hoping they get this tower live, because it covers my house AND school.

My keyboard freezes and I cannot type.  My default is swype. 

I use google keyboard that has swype enabled on it. No issues with it. It is a third party app, so you need to download it.

That would be just my luck to switch to sprint a month ago from Verizon and get the only phone that doesn't connect to 800 haha. What other phones would be good for signal in Fringe areas aside from the nexus 5? Is the G2 similar in signal strength?

The Nexus is far more superior in RF performance. However, if you're in a good coverage area, you should be fine.

And the Nexus 5 supports the 1x800?

Yes. Along with LTE 800.
