If I switch to a T-Mobile SIM (TNX) will I lose the ability to roam on AT&T? (I know I'll lose the ability to roam on Verizon 1x voice). There is a area I travel though frequently that literally has nothing but AT&T and Verizon and has been fine for me for many years with Sprint as I would always just roam on Verizon there and the past year and a half I started roaming on AT&T there instead.
I switched to TNX and lost a lot of roaming

RM502-AE, Quectel
Interesting, so 5G module still allows AT+EGMR command.
Where could I found them? I only find RM500Q on eBay. I assumed Q means Qualcomm not mediatek.

Which module are you using for 5G? The quectel one?

Any update on CDMA sunset?

Is there any LTE modules that would support B71?

I just hoping holding out on Unlimited Kickstarter on Sprint will allow me to grandfathered in.

Wondering if there are some Sprint device not capable of AT&T roaming?

The Exynos is just the SOC. I'm pretty sure they still use Qualcomm modems.

No, Exynos is modem too. Samsung Galaxy has Qualcomm version and Exynos version. Just like iPhone has Intel version

And what will they buy? It won't be an Apple modem.
Samsung has Exynos chips. They don't dare to use them in US market for fear of retaliation. They use their own chip in European market.

It won't be too competitive because Apple is only going to make modems for them and them only. You'll only see an Apple radio in a Apple product. Qualcomm will just lose Apple sales. They won't have anything to worry about outside Apple devices.
Samsung could follow Apple's lead and ditch Qualcomm

I have the same setup but I have a network switch to expand my network. I ended up having to put the Airave before the eero with my modem and it works without any issues. Try that.
I don't know why it doesn't work within the eero network, even opening ports doesn't work. (I might open a ticket with eero support)
You need to get another router. There just no other way. Your ISP probably have a limited number of IP to hand out. When A4 grab all of them, the other devices breaks.

Ok I've now set up my third A4 and it doesn't seem to be getting a WAN connection. The WAN light is blinking green (same sequence of lights after about 12 hours). It's plugged in directly to my Netgear cable modem (which is not a router, just a modem). Can anyone assist? Thank you in advance.
The A4 has 2 MAC address. One for CDMA and one for LTE. I know this because I use it in my office network. All the MAC address has to be whitelisted. The MAC address on the label is only one of it. The other MAC address is either 1 up or 1 down. I don't remember.
So for Airave 4 to work, your modem need to be able to provide 2 IP address to A4. If you plug it directly into a cable modem, it is very likely your ISP doesn't want to supply 2 IP address. So, try to put a router in front of it.

I'd love to see Apple creates a competitive alternative to Qualcomm.

I wonder what Sprints timeline is to shut down CDMA completely. VZW CDMA is dead EOY 2019. ATT looks like they will kill HSPA EOY 2021. Think Sprint would be in a great spot if they could do it in a few years. Once the market is full of 5G phones. B26 could go down to 1.4MHz for LTE and add 5MHz for 5G.
Any of the newer dual-band/tri-band equipment easily upgradable for 5G? At least not requiring a tower climb?
If the merger go through, they probably required to maintain CDMA for a while (1x voice) to support roaming from regional carrier.

So, what exactly is 5G New Radio. I saw a YouTube video that Nokia demonstrated 3CA + 64T64R. Is that what's in the NR? Seems like just one step up from current 3CA + 8T8R

I think previous Airave. (From Airave 2 age), Calls started at Airave could transfer to Macro site. I don't think Airave 4 could transfer call back to Macro site.
-
I feel like Airave 4's CDMA voice quality is much better than when my phone is parked on Macro Cell

@lilotimz Chat support told me "According to the address provided[,] the lte network is not being provided to the airave 4"
It looks like Airave 4's LTE functionality is tied to Magicbox.
