  1. Guys what is your opinion on SoftBank being in talks with T-Mobile as a plan B if in case sprint decides not to go with Dish (which I think is crazy). This really worries me my gut is telling me that sprint my actually go with dish which would not be a smart move in my opinion.

  2. I was in the same boat as you in January and I decided to do the upgrade now program. I traded my iphone 4s and a galaxy note 2. The actually process the do it the rep ended up messing my account you and stuff so I was in the sprint store longer than I was suppose to. He had to put a dummy phone on my account for some reason idk. But honestly I would just wait until yuo have your actual upgrade for 1. it was go wayyyy smoother than my experience and 2. by that time you will be able to see what all phones are out at that point and time and 3. Youll be able to keep your S3 and if you want you can revert back to it if you want. I miss my 4s and wish I didnt give it up and i find myself using my iphone 5 and keeping that note 2 in the box.

  3. Thats what I was starting to think of was throttling. When the data is working really well them people will begin to use more. I think that if it did come down to sprint slowing speeds it will probably cap at 5gb. Because sprint has practically a new network that will still need work to make it really stable throttling would be a idea but idk all of that remains to be seen

  4. Just recently returned from a trip to Dunn,Nc. When I arrived in the state I immediately enabled LTE on my I5 since I read that Sprint had launched It. Once we got to Dunn LTE was on. I was like Yay. So I began my own speed test and web browsing. Sick!!!! And the call quality...sick!!! In my opinion if Sprint can get this up in Ohio and every Market they will dominate the comp. until then they will just be losing custys. I did give me new hope on waiting but how much longer as my service is so bad in Columbus

What kind of speeds were you getting?

  5. Honest opinion, once sprint is near complete with the Network Vision build out do you guys think that sprint will still offer unlimited data? I know with lte comes increased usage and because of that do you think sprint may turn to data limits to keep the network from being hit to hard?

  6. I'm not quite sure how I did it, but I managed to use about 650 MB of data roaming this month!

All together, 3G, LTE, and roaming, I've used about 10 GB's this month!  Most ever!  I really still don't know how I managed it though...

Im in the same boat as you are with the roaming except ive used 2.3GB of it due to me having to go to Wilberforce OH a few times a week which I will have to do throughout the summer. I didn't notice I was I saw my data was working and thought hey sprint must have worked on the towers here in the sticks. But when I logged into my account and saw how much I roamed I called CS and asked about all my roaming and the lady told me that my amount was ok I had nothing to worry about. So if I am cool you darn sure are. I just cant wait till we get lte in Columbus Ohio.

  7. Typically a phone that demands a higher bandwidth that what is readily available to use in the area will get hot/warm. If it is plugged in it will extrapolate this effect. You would also see a greater reduction in battery as well. I highly doubt that its a problem with your phone. Try pairing it with WiFi and try the same thing, chances are it will not get hot. I do not believe this would have anything to do with NV simply because the whole market has been experiencing slow data for a while now.

Thanks I tired wifi and it was just fine. But it makes a lot of sense but yet its crazy at the same time cause there isa tower not even 1 minute from me but that wouldn't go for much specially when you have numerous people using it.

  8. Quick question. I do not know if its a phone related issue or what but I noticed the past 24 hours that when I am streaming music on spotify that my phone gets really hot and my battery draining faster than normal but also the app will stop playing and and connecting. Is this all because my phone is searching harder than normal to get and hold a 3g signal due to the NV work being done?

  9. You take any courtright pictures, if not I'll take some today.... I'm always in the area!

Sent from my HTC EVO 4G LTE

No I just happened to look over at the tower and saw it in passing. Its the tower thats behind that barber shop 2138 courtright rd.

  10. I got some updates well two updates. The first one is I work in Whitehall and on the way home I always drive down courtright and on the sprint tower that is on that street I happened to look over and there was the new cabinets but not installed. The second update which is the biggest I think is on the south end of town which is where I stay I was heading to the bank on lockbourne and Marion rd and a full fledge crew was working they were digging into the ground and everything and the new cabinets were also mounted. Heres a pic of it. I tried to get the pic the best way I could.

  11. I also tred Facebook Home on my Note 2 and after 5 mins it come right off my phone. I think its a great idea but its just not for me. I dont want to see everyones posts on my lock screen. It is adding like a extra step in accessing my apps. But I wonder after a month because its constantly updating what the data usage will be for it?

  12. I was browsing around the sprint forum about lte in columbus ohio, and the very last comment stated that we will have it in the city by the end of Q3 of 2013.

Can anyone really confirm or even vouch for that because it sounds kinda sketchy? also the post even said that the crews are mostly working at night because it is less people on the network... I highly doubt that they would have people working on them towers at night but I guess you never know.

  13. After looking at the permits on cell sites around columbus the tower that I had in question that was not to far from my house was indeed a sprint tower and its permit was pulled in February but based on what all needs to be done such as the removal of the two cabinets, no work has started just yet on it.

  14. Quick question. There is a tower by my house and I'm not sure if its a sprint tower but whenever I'm near it when I'm driving I got execellent service. But anyways I was driving past the tower and I noticed that the white panels at the very top some of them were missing. Is this the process that sprint does if in fact this is their tower and the removal of some of white panels are part of the building of NV?
