Have you tried looking at your field test results on your iphone when connected to LTE and then comparing those with the spreadsheet available to sponsors? You'll find out exactly which tower you're connected to.

Sounds like the tower you're connecting to on 3G hasn't gotten LTE upgraded yet. If that's the case, yes, you should get better service when your closest tower gets LTE.

The crazy thing is the tower that has LTE is like down the street from me. So I guess when I am on 3g it is connecting to that tower down the street from me and when on lte my phone is connecting to some tower that is further away from me?

I get lte at my house and it stays connected but my problem is I only get one bar of service and when I go outside I may get 2 bars. When I am on 3g I get almost full bars in my house and full bars outside. My question is will I gain more bars of service with lte eventually or is the one bar of service pretty much it?

Do you think that throttling appear from AT&T? They will keep their same data plan model but once you hit that limit you are slowed down to hspa with a max of 2mbps? I think in a way T-Mobile is shooting themselves in this foot with this no overage fees. Whatever T-Mobile does I believe the larger carriers can do but they are choosing not too.

I hope we get more than HD Voice and this rumored spotify partnership from this event. Hopefully sprint announces a handful of new spark markets, network progress, cheaper plans etc

So I bought an M8 directly through HTC and have an iPhone 5 on easy pay. When I went to activate my M8 online the website told me that the balance owed on my iPhone would be due. I thought that was ridiculous since one of the reasons I went with the installment billing (I did it when it was call one up) was I switch phones often. I called Sprint and they told me that if I switch the phone I am using through them I would not have the balance due. I had them note it in my account and switched phones , we will see next bill

I had the same thing happen and I called Sprint and I was told that I will be ok and when my bill came out everything was fine. The only way that a balance would be due is if you cancel service but since you didn't close out your line or account. 

Yea thel m8 launched in stores friday with no fanfare or notice really.

I wonder what the reason was to release it early and not on the 11th?

I went to the Sprint store today wanting to truth my flex for something else or just waiting until the 11th when the m8 is released. Shockingly that store had the phone for sale...so it was was a instant yes can I switch phones...I must say I am highly impressed with this phone and it makes the LG g flex look like a phone that was just thrown together to see how the public reacts to it.

Don't know if this was already pointed out but I could also be wrong If so please correct me. I went to the sprint store at Polaris to check out the new HTC phone but sadly did not have it in store yet. I checked out other phones and to my surprise I saw the spark logo. Has deployment of spark started in selected sites in Columbus yet?

My data service has gotten worse I did have lte 2 weeks ago but it was a low signal now all my phone sees now is 1x and when it does pop back to 3G it does not work even at 3am. Any ideas of what could be going on?

I had the same issue in Columbus last week too. It did it three times on Thu/Fri last week.. Just a simple reboot and it was fine. Hasn't done it since.

 

I can't believe the two are related though?

I called sprint and they made me do a profile update with #update while on wifi and it "appears" to be ok but if I get the error again I will do the reboot like you did. I know for mines I was dropping calls like no ones business.

About once a day my iPhone 5S says no sim installed. It then drops the connection for about 2 seconds then reconnects to the network. I've restored it and gotten a new sim, neither of which helped. Do I have a hardware issue on my hands?

When I saw read the article it seriously made my day. Maybe Sprint should not try to merge with T-Mobile. I think they can stand on their own two feet. It is only up from here and to think everyone thought that T-Mobile was going mull Sprint lol.
