CDMA 1x on 800Mhz

As I understand Sprint currently uses 1900Mhz for voice and is switching over to 800Mhz which will give vastly better coverage and building penetration. If I am correct in this is there any word from Sprint on when the changeover will happen in any markets or is it all going to be "behind the scenes" type of changes?

A single CDMA1X 800 carrier channel is an addition to most but not all sites. It is not a "changeover." At least one CDMA1X 1900 carrier channel will remain in operation for years to come.

 

We have written several articles on SMR 800 MHz (see below) and several threads are already discussing 800 MHz issues, so do not take offense, but we are going to close this thread.
