A failure to communicate...

There has been an alarming number of users reporting an issue trying to download apps from the app store over a Sprint 3G data connection.

 

The apps will load/wait/fail with an option to retry.

 

Downloading apps over Wi-Fi seems to work just fine.

 

If you can confirm on your own Sprint iPhone please respond!

I've been able download apps over 3G before... albeit slow... it works. Are you saying that there's some issue going on now that's preventing Sprint iPhone users from downloading apps?

I was having this problem yesterday. Restarted my phone this morning and the downloads restarted themselves and completed over a 3G connection.

I've tested it on 17 phones now between here (Rochester) and Buffalo, NY. None of the phones were able to complete an app download on 3G data. I hope its just an intermediate issue and will be resolved soon.

I had this issue in phoenix Arizona. I lost my 3g icon on 3 phones and it did not return until about 35 minutes. It was only temporary. Have no idea if it's the signal here or if it's a nationwide hiccup.

What sort of speeds are you experiencing there in that part of the country? Have you run speedtest to see?

Speed is great. I'm 100 feet from a tower. Everything else works over 3G.
