  1. I agree, love seeing all of that stuff show up on Sensorly... hopefully by the end of the month we have more of the "inner" city covered.
  2. Hell. once I even had someone with an EVOLTE get a signal where I didn't, but then at other times I got one where they didn't so I chalked that up to a wash. Hoping when it gets in more areas I'll be able to better decide if there may be something wrong with my phone.
  3. Ah ok, similar type experience to me... I heard that, but currently I am not even complaining to Sprint simply because my regular service area hasn't officially received LTE. That said, when I was in Cocoa IIRC that area is launched with LTE and I was still having trouble connecting... It seems like I connected for a moment but then lost it in an area where I should of had a decent LTE signal. I am rooted, S-OFF running the latest MeanBean rom.
  4. Do you get LTE easily with your EVOLTE? Yesterday I was in Cocoa driving/walking all along areas with LTE and my phone just didn't seem to want to connect. When I toggled airplane mode a few times it'd briefly connect to LTE but then I'd go in other areas where it just wouldn't connect... I was with my GF, who has an iPhone 5, and she was on LTE practically the whole time.
  5. Lol I feel your pain, I've driven to areas that Sensorly showed as having LTE only to find out that the towers were off. Super disappointing but way it goes when we're so early in the roll-out.
  6. I've noticed improved speeds around Waterford Lakes Plaza... supposedly there was 4G there at some point but last few times I went the towers were off.
  7. Yeah it sucks.. My EVOLTE doesn't have many issues thanks to being rooted but I really wanted to shift over to the GS3 doesn't seem like an easy task though without shelling out some dough.
  8. I wish I could find someone wanting to do a straight up trade.. My EVOLTE is rooted so it doesn't have any of the JB issues the stock phones do since there are Sense based ROMs that fixed most of the bugs. That said, I'd love to switch up for an S3 but it looks like even if I were to sell the phone I would get like $175 for it vs people getting a lot more for S3s.
  9. Can any of you guys that have more consistent LTE connections comment on LTE and battery life? My phone is always in LTE/CDMA and I can't say I notice much of a difference in terms of battery drain (most of my drain comes from krappy reception anyways). I used to hear previously that LTE (like all new techs) was a battery hog but not sure if thats the case with these newer devices.
  10. So, this may not be relevant to anything but throughout the last few weeks after a member here pointed it out I noticed most of my time around my regular spots in Orlando I was connected to CDMA eHPRD(or whatever it is). Today, I just happened to look, and in those exact same spots it was the old CDMA EvDO Rev. A. Could this mean anything? or probably just them testing stuff?
  11. THANK YOU! Lol for a second I literally thought I was starting to go crazy. I guess it is extremely intermittent when it comes to them keeping these towers on/off... so I just hit Avalon on an off day. Makes me feel a little better about my phone not being funky.
  12. Ok, I figured as much it is just funny that every time I've gone to the areas (be it Cocoa or Avalon) I get absolutely nothing nor does anyone else I know with a Sprint LTE device. I am definitely going to stick it out with Sprint for at least another 3-4 months to see how they expand LTE. Hopefully they live up to the quick expansion that some members have been seeing. I haven't felt the love, but I do understand this is the preliminary stages of them testing things in Orlando so I really have no room to complain (yet). I realize as well that even I may also just have the bad luck of going over to the areas when the towers are off.. could be completely plausible, but it seems like other folks seem to indicate they're always on pretty much.
  13. I didn't try that today, but I did last time I was in Avalon to no avail. Technically I guess I can't even call Sprint to complain about the device as they will just say there is no official 4G yet in Orlando as it is. I will probably just give up the hunt and wait for the official announcement, or at the very least, wait for it to spread throughout a little more of the city. Just wanted to see some 4G on my device! and do a speed test or few! lol Sometimes I wonder why I still stick around with Sprint, they have consistently been the most disappointing carrier I have ever had.
  14. On that same token, I had a friend w/ my also with an EVOLTE and he said last time he was in Atlanta his phone had no problem connecting to LTE and he also was unable to get anything in Avalon... I am really starting to doubt what people are recording on Sensorly, can there be false positives?
  15. Well I just drove all through Avalon Park. According to Sensorly the whole area has LTE... NADA I even toggled LTE/CDMA on and off and nothing at all. Either my phone doesn't work properly or there is no LTE in the area anymore.
  16. Just drove down Lake Underhill, granted it is probably the area with faint 4G but it was listed on Sensorly... nada. I swear I have yet to get 4G in the areas listed on Sensorly. I doubt they turn them off every time I try to go look for it? Gonna hit Avalon tomorrow.
  17. It is weird for me.. it seems like SPEEDs are slow as balls, but it seems like it is more responsive if that makes any sense? 4G can't come soon enough, I can wait a month or two but COME ON!!
