  1. I'm impressed, the whole Washington heights seems like is lte covered. About 4 towers have been built in the last week and a half.
  2. I doubt it, especially for optimum they don't service the entire NYC area. I believe it would be too much of a hassle to put 2 cable companies in one market to take care of the overhaul. I would think since Verizon has a footprint in all of NYC then it would be best to just hire one company to provide the backhaul. Cablevision's network is fiber up to the drop, from the drop on its coax; unless you purchase the pricey 101mbps service.
  3. We had a tech trainer who had stated that some of these companies are not in a hurry to provide the backhaul site due to being in direct competition with Sprint. I believe in NY the company in charge of the backhauls is Verizon.
  4. Really? I mean I'm sure that in my area 3g has enhanced due to NV upgrades. However, LTE is at a slow pace; my understanding is that in the NY market this is due to the overhaul.
  5. Yea NV can be done pretty quickly, the only issue is LTE. The backhaul can take some time, I believe this is why I don't have LTE.
  6. Yep, these are issues that are being caused by NV; according to our internal communications.
  7. I've delt with quite a few customers who are having service issues due to NV, so Flushing is being worked on.
  8. Last time I checked Network Vision is being deployed in Brooklyn, but little to no LTE in that borough. I understand Manhattan might be going slow due to some unforseen variables, I do love the fact that at least the foundation to LTE(NV) is being deployed I've seen some improvements in my 3G service.
  9. As an employee of Sprint and a New Yorker is killing me that the Bronx seems to be getting all the LTE love. Last time I checked Where I live(Manhattan) there's only like 3 LTE sites up and running. I did notice Flushing is getting some Network Vision love this month, Manhattan has been getting Network Vision but no LTE. In some way I'm glad that the Bronx is getting it first, I'm traumatized with the way NV was handled in Chicago so many customers I had to talk of the ledge due to these hand off issues. For now I'll be using my SG3 alongside my TriFi for some great WiMAX speeds.
