  1. Guessing that's the RF cables, and they are still waiting for the panels.
  2. Interesting. That tower isn't even listed as in progress in the top secret members only map. ......er...cough cough.
  3. Actually, that's not TOO far from the LTE tower at Genesee. I suppose it could have been some random bounce through the canyon. Edit...damn, can't ever get multi quote to work. This was a reply to this quote also" mdholt21, on 30 Sept 2013 - 11:48 AM, said:
  4. If this actually happened it seems to me there would be some report of it on a news site somewhere. I've done a quick search on Google and haven't come up with anything.
  5. I notice that many of the sites Denver metro have been switching to EVDO on the weekends. What's up with that? Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk 4
  6. I can't speak for that site, but I've gotten 15 to 20 Mbs downloads on other sprint towers in Colorado Springs and Denver Metro..
  7. Spend the day working at Falcon Stadium at Air Force Academy. I can report it is covered in glorious LTE, 4 bars and 20 Mb I mapped what I could on Sensorly.
  8. I had brunch at The Bittersweet this morning so I walked down the block and took a few more pictures of the install at 908 Main in Louisville. To my untrained eye there seem to be a few panels with enough connections on them to be NV. http://i.imgur.com/G3PpWAf.jpg http://i.imgur.com/elEaIa8.jpg http://i.imgur.com/fWQNGrH.jpg http://i.imgur.com/zGqb6pl.jpg
  9. Doing a little detective work, Sprint does use Mastec based on this page: http://www.sprint.com/companyinfo/scm/supplierdiversity/success.shtml
  10. Yup, it's a bit frustrating. Not all the cells are slow, there are some towers near my house that I can get over 1.5 Mb download speeds with 3G even thought they are not listed as being upgraded to NV. So far the NV project for Denver seem to have only hit a few towers in the NE quadrant of the metro area with none in the city limits. They've also hit a few towers in Colo Spgs, Hopefully they'll get their a** in gear before the winter slows them down.
  11. There is hope, As they turn on 1x800 voice (part of the NV plan) those frequencies have a longer coverage range and better building penetration. Most NV towers are listed as getting 1x800 voice. Long term, there will also be 800 LTE.
  12. Here's an odd one. I'm running the test PRL 34010 (scans 800 test sites). Today I'm in Boulder County in my usual total dead zone where it constantly scans between 3 towers. SignalCheck Pro gives me an 1x800 alert. I look at the app and it claims I am connected to an 1x800 tower in Keenesburg. After about 5 seconds it goes back to a local tower. I did the math, that's 34 miles away. WTF? If the new 1x800 towers get that kind of coverage I can hardly wait until they fire up something a bit closer.
  13. So if I am in a market in the early stages of build-out like Colorado, could I possibly get more 800SMR by using the testing PRL?
  14. Sorry to wake up on old post, but could you answer this question. Does this mean that there is no longer any advantage to using the "testing" PRLs that were created to give access to 800SMR? Will I have access to 800SMR on my GS3 using the latest stock PRL, 25015. Thanks.
  15. Wait a minute....LTE 2600? Are all the LTE towers going up in Denver LTE 2600? Is there any way to tell on the sponsor maps which are 2600 and which are 1900?
  16. However, there are some Sprint stores with repeaters. Don't know if any Denver metro Sprint stores would have LTE repeaters.
  17. IS there such a thing as a 4G Airrave? Are you near a Sprint store? Wonder if this is really a tower being built or something else? Also, Sensorly is now showing small hits at I70 and Monaco, and Peoria north of Colfax. There's nothing on the tower maps showing any 4G or construction. Perhaps they have really pushed the Denver build into high gear.
  18. Someone with a Sensorly app should take a drive up I 70 around the Genesee exit.......Just sayin
  19. There have been lots of discussions as to why certain cell sites go first. It has a lot to do with which areas are quickest to get permits, which areas are quickest to upgrade backhaul, plus Sprint seems to like to start from the suburbs, ring the area and then work their way in to the center of a metro area. Perhaps there are other technical reasons. Beyond that, only the logistics people know and they ain't telling. All the info is in the maps, you are a sponsor so you can see for yourself.
  20. Actually, the red pins in the Colorado thread are "Sprint sites that are slated to receive Network Vision upgrades in the Colorado, Utah and Idaho markets" according to the description. Basically a map of all Sprint Towers. The red pins in the "NV Sites Complete map are sites that have NV 3G accepted but are awaiting LTE (again according to the descriptions of the maps)
  21. There are 2 map threads that I would suggest. The first is called "NV Sites Complete". It is a map of the status of all upgraded NV sites. Zoom in on Colorado and you will see all the the upgraded towers to date. The second is called "Network Vision Site Map - Colorado, Utah and Idaho Markets" That one shows ALL cell sites slated for a NV upgrade. Not all but most NV sites will get 4G. I'm remembering off the top of my head but I think it's something like 99% of the sites will get 4G. \\ Edit: I just looked at the thread about NV sites not getting 4g There is a map that shows which sites wont be getting 4G, and none of them are in Colorado, so hopefully without breaking any rules here I would say every NV site in Colorado will eventually get 4G.
