Has anyone else noticed on the latest update the the phone seems to drop to 3g more often and stay there unless you toggle airplane mode to reconnect back at 4G? Done the PRL and update routines still no change

If you ever find it again, and if it's for the Note 4, let me know. I love the wireless charging, but I also like to have a slim case too. It's just a little difficult to have the best of both when I haven't found a case that is truly designed for it.

Same here!

YMMV, i bought the note 4 back charging cover, unfortunately its thicker than the standard cover and would not fit with my 2 part Ballsitic Case. and its sloooooowww to charge the note 4. With high rate charger can you almost fully charge within an hour so I sold all the wireless stuff. A learning experience. i will just go the route of having to replace the USB port every year or so. its pretty cheap and easy on Samsung devices

I had to wipe mine as well. a bit of pain but it cleared all my issues up

Did Sprint ever get faster at turning up MW backhaul then they were in the initial Chicago deployment? If they did the remaining sites and expansion should pick up pace.

Sprint filed frequcy coordination for hundreds of New Microwave paths last November covering Washington, Colorado, Iowa, Illnios and Ohio

that's still 120.00 over the 2 years and you don't own it. I paid 150.00 and I have a phone to sell at the end of the 2 years I just sold my note 2 on eBay for 130.00 minus what I paid for sales tax I'm only into the phone for 20.00.still better than a lease. leasing makes sense for some just not me

Phone buying/leasing is fast becoming the "new car debt" pay over time. I walked into a sprint store couple weeks ago to upgrade as my 2 years were up. I was told they would only do easy pay/lease. i turned around and walked out.
Went over to Best Buy. who Priced matched Amazon plus another 100.00 off per phone. Opened a Best Buy card and applied the 2 100.00 credits directly to the purchase and have 12 mos no interest to pay off the remainder which i will do in the next month or so.
I'm on a good plan ED 1500, now with unlimited minutes from Marcelo plus a 18% employer discount. The math just doesn't work out for me to pay on a phone for 2 years and then own a phone that's outdated,
One can only hope if this becomes the norm it will drive down the price of devices.

I work just down the street from the water tower on Peter A. McCuen Blvd. in Rancho Cordova (see photos of that site). For months I've had killer LTE signal and performance while at work. Today it's 3G-ville here. I'm hoping this is a sign that they're optimizing that site.
Since Friday its been 3g or intermittent 4g throughout Sacramento

Who else thought this post was about this

very interesting! can you share if the iowa locations are rural eastern iowa or I-80 between des moines and omaha? Looking at our maps for IA/NE those locations would make the most sense for microwave backhaul deployment. I-80 from des moines to IL is already all 4G accepted so they either already have fiber or microwave, but I-80 west of des moines is lacking on 4G for most of it. I-35 and the des moines/ames metros are all also 4G already so again they have fiber already. that leaves rural eastern iowa, which is not only still all 3G but is also mostly GMO sites..... which leads me to believe, in iowa at least, this is more for getting backhaul to get B25 going than it is for B41.....
Looks to be about 10 paths between Des Moines and Omaha and probably about as much around Omaha itself. Nothing really east of Des Moines until Davenport area. Another Cluster Around Waterloo, Cedar Rapids, Clinton and Sterling.

Looks Like Band 41 deployment is going to get big real fast. Just got a PCN (Prior Coordination Notice) Fancy term for Microwave Path Coordination. for over 100 locations across the US for Sprintcom. Equipment Spec'd was Dragonwave (what Clearwire deployed before they halted ). Spread across the US 80 corridor mainly but with Huge clusters in WA state-Seattle area, Colorado, Iowa, Illinois, and Ohio.

I think there's a closer tower than Sac Bee for that stretch that has LTE broadcasting. Could be, though.
Im pretty sure wasn't 15th&R drove right by that and the RSRP was to low compared to the 1XRTT signal. The Bee tower has the highest elevation above downtown in that area

LTE live west River road I5@Sutterville and got a good whiff of it downtown, Picked up at 16TH & S thru 15th and G probably coming from Sac Bee from the signal levels observed

Not really any different than the other vendors out there. To get that kind of speed you need the channel width to do it or go to complex modulation schemes which don't do well over longer distances. Right now the cell carriers are gobbling up a lot of the bands.
Its almost impossible to get anything on 11Ghz in CA anymore due to saturation, 18Ghz is about as bad. Anything above that such as the millimeter wave bands 60-80Ghz are only good for short hops, a mile or less and are subject to rain fade at the frequency.

And?
I wouldn't trust any information from a franchise store. For the same reasons I will only deal with a corporate store. Franchise has very little incentive other than the commission on the sale of equipment/plans. The staff training would also be sub par as you comaperd to company store
-
The downtown Sac Sprint store is the original store that lied to me about 4G LTE two years ago. Take whatever they say with a grain (pile) of salt.
that's not a corporate store.

At least were seeing progress after pretty much a year of nothing going on.

Got my stock 4.4.3 kitkat . Not impress that much at all.
I don't think there is a stock 4.4.3 for the Note 2. I just got the update and its 4.4.2. that is what i recall would be the latest version this phone would probably ever get.

Another update available today. So far it seems like this version has fixed my random reboot with the SD card installed. Crossing fingers
