  1. If I were to get the unlocked S10 instead of the Sprint branded S10, would I lose anything? For instance on AT&T the unlocked model doesn't get wifi calling or VoLTE; you have to get the branded model. I don't want to miss out on anything like upload carrier aggregation or something random by getting the  unlocked model. I know unlocked models receive updates last because Samsung waits for all the carrier versions to get updated before updating the unlocked model.  How was the unlocked S9 vs the Sprint S9?

Not very easy to look up. Even searching by address turns up nothing at times. Your best bet is to search by keyword (i.e. "Sprint", "antenna", "Nextel", "Clearwire", etc.). Forget about looking up small cells. It's nearly impossible.

Good luck. If you have a zip, I can help you look up towers near you to see if they have purchased permits recently.

Great - thanks!.  I was able to find permits using "Sprint" with the category "Owner Occupant". I think I found this site before in the past and tried to search for small cells using Mobilitie but couldn't find anything.

Is required on the network side as well not just the phone side.

Right - and on the network side, can the existing hardware - 8T8R, mini macros, Clearwire equipment, etc, perform this type of carrier aggregation with just a software update? Or does existing equipment on the towers need to be replaced.

I totally agree with you on that. I save about $40 compared to T-Mobile and the coverage I get  actually much better. If you read the entire post it runs off of Verizon wireless 2G 3G and 4G LTE. I would highly recommend them once their selection gets better.

I agree - for a single line it' a great deal.

The service was just launched back in April. So I don’t know when  they will allow BYOD . Is having Wi-Fi calling a big deal to you? And I have tested the hotspot and it works fine on my iPhone.

WiFi calling isn't a big deal to me. I do want a better phone selection than what' currently offered.

no it doesnt count against data at all. and when your off the Xfinity wifi hotspot if you have the unlimited data plan which i recommend the data speeds are great. but the only draw backs are that wifi calling isnt turned on yet. and after you pass the 20 gigabyte threshold they will throttle you to 1.5 MPBS.

Nice. I might have to look into Xfinity once they allow byod. At my office there is an Xfinity Hotspot available so I'm good there. Their throttled speeds are fine because 1.5Mb/s is basically they same throttle for streaming video that all the carriers use for for non-hd video streaming.

  7. Not sure I like the upload speeds on configuration 2 so much. On Clearwire towers, before the configuration change, it wasn't uncommon to see 10Mb/s download speeds with 300-500Kb/s uploads. Now those uploads are around 100Kb/s.

Is carrier aggregation coming for uploads?  If so are any current phones able to take advantage of that?
