  1. For the first time ever, I had a decent signal for most of the game at Brighthouse Stadium. 44,000+ in attendance so it was a pretty good test. In past years, the signal has been so bad that the phone's battery is almost run down to 0% by the end of the game.

  2. You have to have a data connection I think. Whenever I turn cellular data off and try and do a prl update it fails immediately.

Thanks, This is happening with a data connection. It doesn't fail right away, it acts as if it were trying to download and then it shows the error.

  3. CSFB issues are fixed at UCF. Quicker than I had expected! Now LTE is abundant on campus, what a wonderful day. Just in time for me to graduate and move away lol

  4. AND SOMETHING GOT DONE! :frantic:

The tower across the street from me (UCF campus north) got 4G accepted which is probably why I've been having all these eCSFB issues. It's not band 26, but at this point I'll take what we can get. I actually have a decent LTE signal inside my apartment for the first time EVER, just in time for me to move out next week. -__-

What is really awesome about this particular tower getting accepted is that the LTE signal is stronger than the legacy 3G/1x signal that is coming from the same site. Usually my phone drops 3g when I place it in a particular area on my desk but this time around it stays connected to LTE with a signal strength of about -106! I'm so excited. Can't wait to see if it will get 3G accepted and eCSFB issues worked out this week.

Is that the tower closest to the stadium?

  5. I spent the weekend in St. Augustine and had zero coverage (data, voice, MMS) for most of the weekend. It was a relief to get back to Orlando. We may not have the awesome speed just yet but consistent connectivity is definitely better than none!

  6. Can anyone explain this. We switched to Brighthouse, who has been an absolute nightmare since we got it. Anyways, for almost an entire month now our internet speeds have been sub par, even though we have been paying for 60+, and now downgraded to 30+ but are still getting at MOST 10 mb down.

We had a tech come out today, test our lines, test the modem. Then he took the modem and went to the "end of the line" and tested it there and came back with a result of 6 mb down. And tested us again with only 3 this time. Switched out 3 different modems and then got on the phone with Carol from customer service or whatever. She did her "test" on her end and reported she was getting 36 down. Absolute bullshit. Then she proceeded to ask if he was on wifi or hardline. He said hardline, and had to repeat that 3 times.

He left, said he called a tech to come check not he line for the entire complex. How does one's wifi go from 50+ down and a constant ping below 50 and then switching from comcast to bright house and now the ENTIRE complex is reporting similar issues. IDKWHAT?

Your post is a bit off-topic  ;) but you can typically get good results if you log your issue here: https://secure.dslreports.com/forum/bhousedirect

  7. Sprint data has been almost non-existent in the UCF area for the past few days. Last night at Brighthouse Stadium during the game, I could not even send a text. My son (on WIMAX) was the only one who had a decent signal. I guess they are still working on the towers in that area and the 44,000 people hitting a single tower did not help... Maybe for next game we will not be incommunicado. Go Knights!

  8. I noticed more work being done at the site behind the UCF Stadium yesterday.. They had a bunch of generators there for a few weeks, with a guy in an Ericsson pickup truck filling them up with gas periodically. I have no idea why they had generators there, but they are gone now. The new RRU's and antennas have been up for a little more than a month and it still isn't live with LTE.. Any guesses on what the hold up is with this particular site?

I hope they finish it soon. At UCF games, once most fans arrive, you can kiss your data goodbye.
