Not true we make money on some phones.They only get paid for the contract. With subsidised phones the actual phone is sold at a loss.

That's not good news at all. Where did you hear this and when is it going to happen? And what do you mean by commission? Getting money for the contract or selling the phone itself?I was going to post this...Amazon/Best Buy might be hurting soon because they're going to be forced out of the commission they get from contract upgrades. Bestbuy's very reliant on it's mobile section and with this removal I'm interested in seeing what they'll do. The other bad is that with the removal of contracts (while still being bound by phone monthly payments), means Sprint/any other carrier can change terms and conditions on the fly because you're not in contract with them anymore. And now if T-Mobile leaves, Sprint will no doubt raise prices.

If you just want to update your PRL and Profile go to Settings>More>Mobile Networks>Carrier Settings.Boy sucks to have a Nexus 5 then. Is there any way at all to update your PRL? Did anyone update their PRL on the Galaxy Nexus?

I took it home and did the update it took less than a minute to download. Just had them hardware swap it with my S4 on my account. There was no reason to even go to the store though I could have done it through chat.Heh. I had to as well. The rep looked a bit confused by the update, but I reassured her that it was normal. It took forever though, because all of the demo devices were on the store wifi. I had to manually disconnect them. She later told me that I was the first person to buy one at that store.

Just activated my Black 32gb N5. I'm loving it. I had to tell the Sprint employee how to activate and do the update before it worked though.

I don't get lte with my S4 anywhere I go anyway. It switches back and forth from 3g to lte when I'm at work but it's a bad thing. I wish it would just stay on 3g or LTE. Come to think of it I might turn lte off when I'm at work. We shall see on the N5.You won't get LTE with a N5 (or a G2... S4 mini.. mega 6.3.. tribands) on Sprint unless you force the phone into LTE only mode (no voice 1x). Explained it on my above post. Pretty disappointing but sheds some light on the "lack of progress" in the area.

Not quite sure what I'm doing but highly likely I'm going to go there. I'm going to activate it on Sprint and see what my meeting with Sprint is about on Saturday at least. Test out my work area with the new phone. It will put my mind at ease just knowing I can take my phone anywhere but Verizon when I want. I would never go to Verizon anyway. But Ya, I have a pretty much new Single-Band LTE Galaxy S4 for sale now. Lol.Hope you enjoy T-mobile ;-)

It's how they do the back haul and software updates.So they need to update the 3G to NV before it will work. Why do they have to cluster launch the sites for this to work though? Why can't they just launch NV 3G sites like they were with the 4G sites?
