    LTE still going strong in the Olney area! I am having difficulty getting a good consistent signal at my house though, so it doesn't seem like there have been any improvements in the area, but the spots that are lit are running great, so no complaints here!

    I said the same thing earlier in this thread, in fact, I visited a friend after work yesterday and I mapped on the way. I am the only one that maps around here I guess, cause there is a solid line of 4g from my work to his house on Sensorly.

    Out of curiosity I was checking out Verizons 4g coverage on Sensorly and downtown Philadelphia is completely covered. Outside of that, however, the coverage seems very spotty. Northeast Philly doesn't have much, it's on all the main roads, but even then, it is 1 bar at most. Sprint absolutely has better 4g coverage in this area, and if they keep up this pace,I wouldn't be surprised if they surpassed Verizon, in this market at least.

    Not to say you are definitely getting it soon, but the exact thing happened to me, the next day the 3g speeds were unbelievable, and that tower was one of the first to come on.

    I think it's funny that the main thing I have used 4g for is to get here quicker.

    No, you shouldn't have to once the network really gets going and the 4g signal is stronger and more consistent, as far as I know. I don't know anything about the technicals of the phones or the network, so someone else here is probably better suited to answer why that is.

    I asked the same question in this thread about my neighborhood, I don't feel like going back and looking, but I believe it was Robert who said the wait will be worth it. It 100% was worth it. I'm assuming you have used LTE in those areas so this is nothing new, but it is amazing what a difference there is, it feels like a new phone. I have been thoroughly surprised and impressed on how good both the coverage and quality is in this area, especially at such an early stage. I'm sorry to those who don't have it yet, I don't mean to sound like I'm rubbing it in, I just wanted to reiterate that the wait is absolutely worth the final product.

    Airplane mode just resets the antennas to force the phone to connect to 4g, you would usually have the same effect if you reset the phone, or update the prl.

    My speed tests for LTE have been good in spots, other areas not so good at all. Am I correct in assuming that the speeds will be much faster as coverage gets better?

    I've actually uninstalled this app numerous times, I only recently installed it again because of lte popping up in the area. I've noticed even when I have it set to no contribution or active only, it sets itself to passive and constantly runs scans. I caught it using 54% of my battery over a 9 hour period, ridiculous. Needless to say it will be uninstalled again soon, which is a shame because it's really an awesome resource.

    Here is a question for one of the LTE veterans, does LTE have a major effect on battery life? I have gone through 3 full charges today, now obviously using gps and Sensorly plays a significant part. I'm sure spotty coverage plays a role as well because of the radios constantly scanning, but in a solid area with no more than "normal" use, what can we expect?

    As weird as this sounds, there is something very satisfying about looking at Sensorly and seeing a good size area that you mapped.

    So I'm a dummy and Sensorly won't map if you are below a certain battery percentage, so I just got home from a map trip and my entire neighborhood is lit. It isn't showing on the map yet, but my 4g measurement was 417. Check out the Olney area later tonight, hopefully it'll be up by then.

    So I just got home and my 4g stayed up, I had Pandora on and it was working flawlessly. Sensorly for whatever reason would not let memap at all, could someone with an android try and let me know if it is the app today, or something on my end? Also my 4g icon it's still up at home, but the internet isn't working at all. When I tried a speedtest, it didn't make it past the ping check.

    I was just going to ask if anyone was having problems mapping, I hit start and it just hangs at 0 seconds.

    It actually did register, zoom all the way in on the intersection of Oxford and levick.

    Well I work around Oxford circle in the northeast, Oxford and levick, I tried to map it, but I'm assuming since I'm not moving around it isn't doing anything. I will map it I on the way home for sure.

    More towers must have just been turned on! I NOW HAVE LTE AT WORK!!! What a good day!

    There are a ton of lte gaps in my neighborhood, with the easy sensorly looks there may be some there, I plan on driving all through Olney and Logan today mapping every step of the way.

    Search for 4g, cdma, gsm, wifi coverage maps, that's what it's listed as in Google play store

    Same thing happened to me in that huge blip in jenkintown today. I ran a speed test and got 19 down, but it hung on the upload and quickly went back to 3g.

    Hopefully they do get more up and running. It's funny, there is a lot of lte live in my area and somehow I manage to avoid it ALL during my daily routine. However my 3g has never been better, YouTube works, Netflix works, Spotify works, all perfectly. It really is incredible the difference there is already!

    Thanks! So is it safe to assume the towers that are currently not lte active still need to be worked on, or is Sprint waiting to light towers that are ready to go for whatever reason?
