  1. Don't hate on me (I'm a diabetic)... do you guys have any good suggestions for recipes or store-bought BBQ sauces don't have sugar?
  2. First dish (must have been my submission because I just visited the BBQ thrrad.) Sent from my SPH-D710 using Tapatalk 2
  3. Just bought a turkey fryer today for tailgating and maybe Thanksgiving. Hope to try it out soon. Is it an electric (indoor) one or is a (propane) outdoor one? I am thinking when I get one, I will also try to make carnitas. We've used a propane turkey fryer for years. It's not turkey until it's deep fried with a garlic butter injectable seasoning and a Cajun Rub. Stuck on the Poor Man's HTC for now. How do you filter your used deep fryer oil? 4. Did you build your own smoker? If so, can we see pictures of it?
  5. Is it an electric (indoor) one or is a (propane) outdoor one? I am thinking when I get one, I will also try to make carnitas.
  6. Does anyone else watch BBQ Pitmasters? I am always hoping that someone would do ethnic variations of BBQ (like Char Siu). Does anyone have experience with Turkey Fryers? I am thinking of purchasing one.
  7. I just got pulled this down a couple of days ago in Los Angeles. I don't think I ever got anything over 10Mb/s on WiMax before.
  8. What would you consider putting a strain on the network. I hardly use more than 2GB a month. I am not planning to watch YouTube/Netflix everyday. I would appreciate an answer to my original question and stop this thread-jacking. Sent from my SPH-D710 using Tapatalk 2
  9. Why should I have to have a separate broadband connection at home? I am allowed to consume unlimited data by Sprint, so there is no worry there. I want the ability to watch YouTube and Netflix on my phone. That being said, for argument's sake, let's say the same situation applies to work (instead of my home) and I definitely don't have a wi-fi connection at work. Wouldn't it be nice for me to be able to watch videos on an LTE connection on my phone during my lunch break? Just saying...
  10. So there is no way to tell if a Alcatel-Lucent tower has been upgraded to LTE without testing a LTE connection? In other words, I would like to upgrade to an LTE-capable phone, but if the tower closest to my house will not produce an LTE signal that I can receive in my house, then I will not upgrade. Right now, the tower in question has been NV upgraded to faster 3G speeds. Would I be able to differentiate between an upgraded NV tower versus one that been modified with an LTE panel?
  11. You work at Porto's? So when you going to give us the S4GU hookup? ;P
  12. Robert - Will NV benefit us who try to send text messages at sporting venues like Dodger Stadium and the LA Coliseum? I usually get very good to great signal at both venues but it's always a challenge to send text messages when either is close to seating capacity.
  13. I'm guessing you will be using the At Bat app around town (as opposed to at Dodger Stadium) because one of the improvements the new owners will be implementing for Dodger Stadium is Wi-Fi. Then again, who knows how good the Wi-Fi will be, especially when a game is a sellout. I too can't wait - love the new ownership and can't stand that the Hated Ones have won two of the last three World Series.
  14. I haven't had that problem. My biggest issue is one that is pretty universal for most E4GT owners - weak GPS signal/not getting a GPS lock.
  15. I live close to the tower near the IHOP on Lincoln, and I noticed a great improvement on 3G service since that tower was upgraded. I always get over 1K down even during peak times, and close to 2.5K at night. I can't comment on LTE since I have an Epic 4G Touch.
  16. I hope that's not really your real residence. Some shady people might your address against you. Maybe you sensor this part of the screenshot?
  17. I a little weary of buying cellphones (or anything expensive) off of Craigslist. I feel I have a little more peace of mind with eBay but the prices are more expensive.
  18. I guess I am still miffed that I cannot get WiMAX outside of my residence, let alone inside it. I realize that LTE has greater signal strength, but you can color me skeptical.
  19. Sadly I'm in the Marina del Rey area between Admiralty Way/Lincoln Blvd/Washington Blvd. Seeing a spot that should be filled in is totally like me. Like if I see a loop in a cord, and although it's not doing anything to affect quality, I will go out of my way to straighten it out.
  20. Are there any S4GRUers willing to filling a blank spot on the map? (I'm looking at your rayluis1988) LOL I'm still under contract til mid part of next year, but I am still interested to see if a patch where I live has LTE coverage. All of the areas I'm surrounded by do.
  21. I'm a little surprised that more of the USC and UCLA campus has not been covered given how many students and staff work at each. Would walking (vs. driving) affect reporting on Sensorly?
