  1. It just locked up my browser and I couldn't do anything on the computer for more than 60 seconds. Couldn't change between windows or check my e-mail. I guess I have to stop using firefox when I check the map.
  2. It's only on firefox. I just check the other two browsers and it doesn't happen.
  3. Yes it's the NV sites complete map. Any idea what's up with the 'Warning: Unresponsive script' issue that happens every time it loads?
  4. Interesting. Does this boundary zone include Orange County too? We should be far enough away from the border.
  5. Was wondering if anyone else is having trouble with the interactive maps and firefox? My browser seems to freeze up for about 20-30 seconds while the map is trying to load and I see 'Firefox is not responding' at the top. In addition I keep getting a pop up message saying something to the affect of do I want to keep running scripts on this page. I then have to answer yes or no and then finally the maps loads. It's not really that big of deal because eventually everything does end up working but something isn't quite right.
  6. Yes those are the original panels that have been on the tower since 1997 when they built it.
  7. RF signal strength tool? You mean the Sprint maps at?: http://coverage.sprint.com/IMPACT.jsp If so I don't see any changes at all to them.
  8. It also looks different than some of the others I've seen here in this market. No idea who the vendor is on this equipment.
  9. Here's a pic taken today of the in progress NV site ID # OG03XC028. http://img534.images...4/9758/nv1s.jpg
  10. I'll try to post a picture later but the new NV panels are wider and thicker and have a radio box usually right behind them. They are doing one panel per sector like that here. So if a tower antenna array was previously 2, 3 or 4 panels per sector the new style will be one larger panel per sector. It appears like at some of the sites around here they are leaving the older panels on the array too but those are likely just dummy panels now.
  11. Site ID # OG03XC028 in the city of Orange, CA near Katella & the 55 Frwy got network vision panels installed today.
  12. Yeah I hit it last night while on the 91 and took a speedtest. Got 22.66 Mb/s
  13. I don't understand why they can't just turn it on and keep it on. When they activate a new cell site normally once it goes on air it stays on. There's no repeated on/off for weeks. Is LTE so complicated that they have to repeatedly test it for weeks or months before they can finalize it? Seems rather silly to me.
  14. I live in the city of orange (population near 200K) and so far not a single network vision site has been turned up. I keep watching every day for any new activity but nothing. They did apply for permits on a number of the sites here late last year but there must be a delay.

    Married to it

My girlfriend can relate to this so well as I have been tracking down cell towers and collecting info related to them for about 15 years now. One time I even got questioned by a security guard for being on private propery after hours and taking pics of a tower.
  16. Yeah saw that after I had posted earlier. A friend of mine who lives there will be happy to hear that.

    LG Optimus G

I can vouch for this too. Sometimes I'll take a picture and it will be blurry because the focus didn't work right. Then I try again and it will be fine the second time. Inconsistent auto focus.
  18. I went by that site last night and there was no LTE coming from it. It is network vision complete for 3G at least. I live just 2 miles from there.
  19. I got this off the site in Yorba Linda last night: I believe it was coming from their site on Highland Ave. I was at Buena Vista and Lakeview when I ran the test.
  20. I figured that had to be it since they already did the network vision conversion about 3 months ago. I am near the 55 and Nohl Ranch Road so I can hit this tower if I drive up the street about a half mile.
  21. Sweet. I live just a few blocks from Anaheim Hills on the Orange side. Were you hitting signal from the recently upgraded cell site on the old Kaiser hospital building at Lakeview & the 91? I don't think the site on the edison tower at Canyon Rim and Fairmont has been upgraded yet.
