  1.

Hopefully not. I have 2 iPhone's to update to 5.1 for others' date=' but just waiting for the untether.[/quote']

Odds are it's taking a while because there technically is an untethered 5.1 JB out there, however I'm thinking their exploit can't be made public since it required an apple dev account. Same thing happened with the 5.0.1 4S JB. We'll get it in due time.

Try typing ##873283# into the dial pad then hit the call button. Wait a minute or so and your PRL should be updated. Mine is at 60687.

That's odd mine didn't update to 60687. Perhaps it's because I'm still on 5.0.1? (can't update or I lose my JB)

  3. That's a bit odd with you being only a little over a half mile away and having such low signal. Typically if the tower is too close, the panel downtilt may not be enough, and the signal would in theory pass right over your home. But in your case, I cannot possibly see that being the case.

For me, I have a tower that's even closer to my home ~1700ft, and my signal sits real pretty around -55 to -65dB

  4. 2) Does what work?

I think darn18 is asking if the ##3282# method works on all smartphones to remove the proxy.

I only knew this worked on my Hero and EVO when I had them (HTC thing maybe?), but this doesn't work on my iPhone 4S. Anyone know how to check this stuff on the iPhone... or even how to figure out what tower my phone connects to? I've tried *3001#12345#* to put my phone in field test mode... but I couldn't find any data pertaining to the tower I was connected to

  5. I live in Yorkville and the same thing. For the last month.

I tend to drop real bad around Route 30 between 34 and Wolf's Crossing. Perhaps when I'm driving, the tower hand-off isn't seamless?

One of my co-workers is in Oswego on Rt. 31, and she says she drops calls and can't make calls a lot. Quite frustrating

  6. I'm having similar issues that tongboy was having. I'm in the Aurora/Montgomery/Oswego area, and there are times when I cannot make calls, or drop calls a lot, and data speeds are still painfully slow. The NV map shows the towers in my area as complete for the NV upgrades... but still not sure why this is happening. Any ideas?
