  1. Give it up irev . They have $20B in debt. We will see how much more they will have tomorrow .
  2. According to Morningstar they have $17B http://quicktake.morningstar.com/stocknet/bonds.aspx?symbol=tmus but the 1st quarter results give their position as $14.6B net debt and $5.5B in cash which gives us a debt of $20.1B http://investor.t-mobile.com/Cache/1001186493.PDF?Y=&O=PDF&D=&fid=1001186493&T=&iid=4091145
  3. They will never be able to match the same margins as AT&T and Verizon. There is nothing wrong with debt except you have to pay it back . In AT&T's and Verizon's case they will be able to pay back the debt faster and the be able to improve their network or purchase companies, or spectrum ,etc.
  4. Sprint and T-Mobile are not AT&T. They cannot spread their capex over 100M people. They don't have ooddles of low frequency spectrum. So margins matter. Or you think that T-Mobile is doing this to please you and give you the consumer cheaper prices. They are doing this because DT wants out of the market. Whether it is Sprint or Dish or somebody else they want out. They want out because they know they cannot compete with the big two.
  5. The reason why I am asking is that my daughter lives and works around midtown and I am hesitant to recommend that she switch to Sprint before the end of the year.
  6. I agree with you. I think they are on the way up and by the end of the year they should be even better. I believe at that time they need to start advertising more heavily than now. Maybe Hesse can get a twitter account .
  7. Look, Sprint is not out of the woods yet. They are at the edge. I believe at at the end of this year once they have launched their biggest markets yet to be launched they will be in much better shape and they can start advertising. Band 41 in the SF Bay area and New York needs to be there as soon as possible.
  8. Does anybody know what is the coverage target for the end of the year?
  9. Congrats to Sprint! I have said that I will consider them for my 4 personal lines at the end of this year or beginning of the next after the iPhone6 came out and the production bugs have been worked out. Onward and upward!
  10. The original post was about them stopping their Sprint MV like deployment because it was getting way too expensive and with all the RRUs and panels was getting too heavy for the original rack.
  11. Nobody said that their regular overlay was not going well, but their capex was reduced, so there was some slowdown.
  12. http://www.fiercewireless.com/story/t-mobile-trumpets-100-family-plan-undercut-att-verizon-and-sprint/2014-07-28 Can Sprint compete? Should they compete? Is T-Mobile engaging in a pump and dump scheme? Trying to force Softbank's hand?
  13. I have the 13" MBP. Lately I have been having all kinds of problem with the stupid hard drive cable. I have replaced it like 3-4 times. I have upgraded to a 500GB SSD and 8GB of ram and it flies when it's not having the problems.
  14. I am sure that Sprint has a good handle on who is and is not profitable for them and they are trying to maximize their profit. Plus what profit does Sprint get from having a completely unused channel because they made everybody afraid to use their phones.
  15. I don't get it. If there are no unlimited users in the top 5%, they will not throttle anybody? Or let's say there's only one. Will that solve their congestion problem? What does total consumption over the previous month have to do with the immediate problem which is one of capacity. Throttle everybody equally and be done with it.
  16. I have no problems with a Dish merger. I had a problem when Sprint shed their local telephone division. granted it was not a growth sector but it is one that would have contributed some cash to subsidize the wireless side...
