  1. I have the iPhone 6 Plus and my phone LOVES B41 here in San Antonio. I have family in New Boston and can't wait until everything gets built out and optimized.
  2. Yup. Did a speed test and it was slow by all means, but usable. Had a download speed of 0.68Mbps and upload speed of 0.53Mbps
  3. I'm in the northwest, technically in Helotes
  4. I noticed today that I was staying on LTE at work and I got into field test mode and noticed I am on B26. I for once wish I had an android phone so I could give you more cell site info, but this is a first spotting on B26 in San Antonio!!
  5. The article states that "The Snapdragon 810 processor with Category 9 support is anticipated to be available to our customers in early 2015" so there is a possible chance Samsung could include it in their new flagship device in a chance to put a one-up on the iPhone 6/6 Plus. I never said the iPhone would incorporate that chip into it although I can see the confusion in my wording. I was merely stating that the technology is being introduced and the big phone makers will be able to release new devices with the Carrier Aggregation capability.
  6. http://www.fiercewireless.com/press-releases/qualcomm-expands-lte-capabilities-snapdragon-810-add-category-9-carrier-agg Hopefully new phones introduced next year (possible Galaxy S6 and iPhone 6S/6S Plus) will help drive forward Sprint's Spark network with B41 Carrier Aggregation
  7. Any worthy changes/additions? Recently jailbroke my phone on 8.1.1
  8. The reason why Sprint has filed for the waiver is because of the fact that the entire market does not physically fall within that boundary as you clearly showed us. But the city itself has fallen within the region that is caught up in the IBEZ
  9. "Many 800 MHz licensees along the U.S.-Mexico border are required to relocate to new frequencies as part of the transition from the current band plan to the new band plan. This includes virtually all licensees operating within the Sharing Zone in the NPSPAC regions bordering Mexico and licensees operating outside of the Sharing Zone in the NPSPAC regions bordering Mexico. The affected regions are Southern California (NPSPAC Region 5), Arizona (NPSPAC Region 3), New Mexico (NPSPAC Region 29), Texas – El Paso (NPSPAC Region 50), and Texas – San Antonio (NPSPAC Region 53)." http://www.800ta.org/content/resources/mexicoborder.asp#whoneeds
  10. You must not have realized where you are posting...this is the San Antonio market thread. It is entirely affected by the IBEZ. I would assume this is so due to the large number of accepted B26 upgrades back in October in the NV Site Acceptance Report thread
  11. From what I've read, it appears they are replacing incompatible hardware after the upgrade is available. At the end of October, I had to have a technician come to my house to figure out why I kept getting hiccups in my connection as well as an inability to maintain a steady wifi connection. He replaced my SB6183 modem and gave me a new Arris DG1670A as well as said he would have to check the entire run between my house and the source of internet to find out why my internet is jumpy and not solid. He also told me it would be better for me anyways for the upcoming changes that TWC is making in my area. (this is when I looked up what he was referring to and found TWC Max) I have looked and haven't seen any changes in my bill since the swap
  12. The only nice thing I have seen coming from Time Warner Cable is their new Maxx service which will be a free upgrade to everyone. http://www.twcableuntangled.com/2014/11/taken-to-the-twc-maxx-la-nyc-upgrades-complete/
  13. I don't want to say yes or no specifically as I don't remember when it started, but that could be a high possibility that it happened around the same time
  14. I have noticed the same thing. I drive back and forth along 1604 from 90 to Helotes and I have random areas around Potranco and Hausmann as well as around my house (to be expected due to poor spacing because where my house and the surrounding neighborhoods are used to be a field of corn no more than 5 years ago). I will say driving around with Field Test mode running on my iPhone shows that I'm connected to B41 almost any time I'm on LTE, but then I hit those areas where it drops suddenly to 3G.
  15. I wish I knew what was holding up the FCC on this. It appears that Sprint has taken careful consideration into the surrounding areas and found no reason to punish the city of San Antonio and a few surrounding areas because a small portion of the market is in the IBEZ. I saw about a month back San Antonio got several upgrades for 800 approved so hopefully Sprint will light some fire under the FCC and maybe slip them some Red Bull to wake them up so they can make a decision and we can start enjoying much denser coverage and get the load off B25 and I can have a useable data signal when I'm downtown
  16. sprint isn't using band 41 for 3G services as well as LTE are they? I uploaded a few screen shots in succession to show the time at the bottom was updating, but my phone was showing 3G and band 41 at the same time
  17. I didn't gain any storage on mine but it also changed to 18.0
  18. . Mine says 17.1 I also noticed you gained a small amount of storage back from 55.6 to 56
  19. Excited to see the "156 CDMA 800" updates in the Site Acceptance Report today. With Sprint's recent waiver1 request with the FCC to help bring 800 to the IBEZ areas and this news, hopefully San Antonio is on its way to enjoying the fill-in coverage of 800MHz. We could definitely use B26 downtown along the River Walk and in the La Cantera/Six Flags area that have both poor spacing to accommodate the huge population relying on just the single B25, and poor building/structural penetration. 1 http://transition.fcc.gov/Daily_Releases/Daily_Business/2014/db0826/DA-14-1238A1.pdf
  20. My mom (a blonde) got her new phone in and called me after she got it activated. She kept claiming she was having a hard time hearing me and I told her to make sure the volume was turned up all the way as it's a new phone and the settings are at a default level. She just messaged me saying she figured out the reason why...To all the blondes who ordered a new iPhone 6 or iPhone 6 Plus and are having it delivered to your house, don't forget to take off the plastic!
  21. Technically an agreement was made for a future exchange on money
  22. Considering there was no money exchange thanks to the I4L plan, I assumed the installment agreement was it and if there was anything else I needed, it was his job to make sure I received it. Especially when the manager is beside him walking him through all the steps.
  23. I'm sorry but yes this is my first time to pre order a phone. So yes I am in fact a novice customer as far as this goes, but your statement isn't helping me with anything or anyone else... I will ask again, was I supposed to have been sent home with a receipt or not? I have the installment agreement made for a phone on my plan, but that was all I left the store with.
  24. If I pre orderd in store by adding a line, am I supposed to get a receipt still? All I got sent home with was my copy of the new pay agreement I had to sign. I hope I didn't get screwed out of a phone by a novice rep. He did say I was the first pre order he did
  25. Confirmation of Sprint stores not getting any pluses in. Stopped by my store today before work because they opened an hour early. Sadly, they told me they have not received any of the pluses in at all, not for pre orders nor for regular sell. The lady did tell me they are getting shipments daily and to call back after 3. They are telling everyone that it could be between a week and 3 weeks from the date you pre ordered before the phones come in if you ordered in store.
