  1. Everyone is on the lookout for 4.4.4 coming, but I just checked my phone's Android Version in the about device section and it is currently 4.4.2...Am I missing an update or is there going to be a jump? I have checked for updates using my phone and using Kies and they all say my software is updated.

  3. I've been doing a lot of reading on this to better understand how the loophole worked for me. My line (my current number) is not eligible for an upgrade until May of 2016. If I had a device put on Easy Pay, I can pay the extra and get back to having eligibility at one year after that extra amount started being applied to my bill. The loophole works because my plan itself has no contract, just lacks eligibility for upgrade. This is because when you have a device using Easy Pay, your monthly plan is just a monthly plan with no actual contract. They just were holding your device hostage with the remaining balance.
  4. I see there are other people on here who are trying to preorder, but can't due to misunderstandings with paying off a current phone that is on Easy Pay. I paid off the balance to my phone this morning in hopes to be able to pre-order and use easy pay on the new iphone, then chat reps (online was forcing me to pay full price and phone reps transfer you to someone else to pre-order) kept telling me I'm not eligible for another year. I just got back from the store locally and we found a workaround! I added the iphone I wanted as a second line which is completely eligible for easy pay. Because my previous plan was purchased using Sprint Easy Pay for the device, the plan itself is paid monthly with the device being the "contract". With my device being paid off I am contractually not bound to my plan and am capable of canceling my current line with no fees. The downside is I have to get a new number. I moved to a new city and area code so I will benefit from having a local MSC anyways. If you are having problems, I would go into a store and speak with a rep about that option. Now I just get to wait until I pickup my phone in store on Friday which he said would be the case since I pre-ordered early and they were surprisingly slow this morning!!!
  5. I've recently been having problems with my Galaxy S5 not allowing screenshots saying USB storage is already in use or apps not opening and when I try to send a report I get an error saying no available space on the device. I have emptied out unused apps, moved available ones to USB storage, and cleaned out media and I now have more problems than before with this. The biggest nuisance though is that when I get MMS, they show as downloading in the message thread, then it disappears and I get a message from Unknown Address with the message 4504:Message not found. I've searched online and seen many posts with unanswered endings regarding this issue. Could this be a faulty phone in the making or is this a problem on the carrier side and just coincidental with my other phone issues? I have a stock unrooted phone.
  6. I use it at work all the time which is a life saver. Like others have said, it works perfectly for me. Phone calls are clear and texting is seamless. I have the S5, but have had previous iphones and messaging is comparable to the imessage system. Texts send and receive faster than using the mobile network. The only complaint I have is having to register the address with WiFi Calling due to the 911 availability. I live in a new house (1 year to the day since completion) and it keeps telling me that my address is invalid thus I can't use it at home.
  7. Sorry for the delay in response, but here is a screenshot without the wifi turned on. I no longer have a stray bar or two at the top. I will say that since posting I have gone through at least two updates. Ever since the big software update at the beginning of the month I keep getting what I'm guess are PRL updates pushed out a few times daily. That sucks that we are still waiting for B26 here. We were in the initial markets to get launched for LTE, but I guess only on B25 with no B26 hardware. I will say though that B41 is pretty nice here. I assume it's converted Clearwire and not NV 2.0
  8. I understand the signals lie, I have read that post, but why do the two different places not show the same information? One says Connected to B25 while the other says no service. With wifi and data coming from two different places does having wifi turned on still skew my readings? Turning it on or off makes no notable difference on either screen other than showing 3G in place of the wifi bars. **Also if you read on the post you directed me to, it states that tri-band phones are not affected. I am using the Galaxy S5...tri-band
  9. I have been noticing times when my phone will display a bar or two at the top, but my apps will tell me there is no network connectivity available. I go into engineering screen under the Debug menu and it shows I am connected to LTE (Band 25), but as you can see there is no connection. I dial *#0011# in my phone and bring up a different screen (I don't know the correct name) and it clearly states No Service but as you can see I have bars still showing on my phone. This even happens in places where I have full signal and normally show LTE but it lags from switching from 3G. Also on a separate but slightly related topic...this is taken in the edge of hill country on the NW side of San Antonio. Is there not any B26 in this area? I thought San Antonio's build-out was completed for the most part? I drive from the NW side to the SE side along the outskirts of town, on 1604 for anyone familiar, and I have only seen B26 once and it was only for a couple seconds before changing to B25. Is there a reason my Galaxy S5 is averting using B26 when I am on the limits of B25? I have seen RSRP -118 and still no 800 Is my phone having problems? I've noticed the lack of connectivity since the new update at the beginning of the month. PS: I understand I have Wi-Fi Calling and I do use it when possible
  10. I have my phone jailbroken and when I go in Cydia to get Signal 2, it keeps telling me "This product is not supported on your iOS version.". Can Someone Help me figure out how others are able to get this, but I am not? I have an iphone 5s running 7.0.4 (11B554a)
  11. I found this company through a post on facebook and looked them up. They claim to be running on Sprint's network as their backup, but they focus on using wifi for everything as a first option. For a price like that and running on the NV enhancements we have going on in my area, this may be a contender after my contract runs out. Any thoughts? http://republicwireless.com/
  12. Sorry I was too slow, Robert beat me to the reply. Interesting though that you posted the answer to your own question in your video
  13. Here's some pics of them working on a tower off FM 2154 in College Station yesterday. I think the tower number is 7873. That's what Field Test was telling me. I also noticed I no longer have eHRPD now that they are working on it, I'm back to Evdo RevA. Sorry for taking so long to get pics up. Had to find a way to shrink the file size to upload so sorry if they are small pics.
  14. I can confirm that they are working on a tower in south College Station behind Whataburger on Rock Prairie. I took a picture (will post later tonight after work). I've also been seeing some intermittent LTE in and around the B/CS area from College Main and S College all the way to past William D Fitch.
  15. I picked up a second job with UPS and I've noticed LTE popping up on the south side of College Station, TX so of course I had to turn Sensorly on and start mapping. It started out spotty, coming and going, but it's becoming a constant signal now. Managed to get a speed test.
  16. So you are saying that eHRPD sightings are a good indication of upcoming 4g LTE? I've seen it for a good month or so here in the College Station, TX area and I know there is a tower about 25 miles away in Navasota, TX that has gone live in the past few weeks. I've already gone and mapped it using the sensorly app
  17. I saw a dot pop up outside Navasota, TX a week or so ago and decided to go drive out and check it out. Mapped it using Sensorly, but had problems getting my GS3 to switch from 3G to 4G without restarting my phone. I've had this problem before when travelling where my phone has to be reset to pick up 4G service. Can't wait until LTE hits Bryan/College Station.....it's just down the road
