  1. Well I called and she said they do not have any at the moment. That's fine I can wait....
  2. Oh - thanks very much for the information - I will give it a try!
  3. I called a few days ago and the person said they would not send one out if there was nothing wrong with the old one as they are in short supply.
  4. There is a gym I go to where the signal always used to drop to 3G indoors. A couple of days ago I turned on VoLTE capability on my S8+. I have not yet experienced any actual VoLTE calls yet here in Raleigh (we are not in the list of initial VoLTE markets but we are a 5G upgrade location I believe), BUT something else good happened. My phone roamed on LTE in the gym for the very first time I have ever seen it roam anywhere. In fact, it was on TMobile band 4 at 80 down and 28 up on Speed Test. Evidently they will no longer drop to 3G, but will keep LTE, roaming if necessary to do so, in order to preserve the ability to do VoLTE. It seems this gift is being given only to people who have phones upgraded to VoLTE.
  5. I got the "Welcome To VoLTE" screen too but I am in Raleigh which is not listed as a VoLTE market. So maybe everybody everywhere gets that screen if they click the toggle to turn it on.
  6. Thanks for improving the page layout so the table is now much more readable!
  7. Is there any way to see the whole table? Every time I try to look up something (which is all the time) there is only a tiny gap between the site overlays that allows me to see maybe one full line and it takes me about 10 minutes scrolling right and left and up and down to try to compare a couple of lines? Probably I am overlooking some way.
  8. Thanks so much for the valuable information!
  9. I use the chart all the time, thanks. Could you possibly update it with the sim needed for Note 9? Thanks.
  10. Is it likely safe to get the Unlocked/Unbranded model or might you lose some Sprint Features? Is it the better choice? As I recall, the unbranded S8 and S9 originally could not get LTE Calling until a bypass was developed. For S8 and Note 8, it ended up being better to get the branded model, because brand switching was implemented based on Sim and you can switch from and brand, say from Sprint to AT&T with 100% complete carrier specific features just by changing sim. However for S9, brand switching was never implemented (so far?) for the branded versions. Does anyone know what the rationale is for the brand-switching difference between S8/Note 8 and S9? For S9, and presumably Note 9, is it better to get the Unbranded version to ensure portability? Or will there likely be Sprint features missing in the unbranded version of the Note9? Thanks for any ideas on this.
  11. This is pretty weird. I have been testing around town and my Samsung S8+ (prl is 56066) is always given 1XRTT for voice which is problematic at home because it warbles and glitches every now and then duuring calls.. My LG LS676 Tribute HD (prl 55065), on the other hand, is always given 1X800 which is flawless. It seems like to get consistent voice quality, I have to give up using my S8+ for calls! Does this make any sense?
  12. Is there any way to force "band class 10" i.e. 800 MHz voice on the S8? I see that you can disable BC10 under ##DATA# but I would like to force it on. The reason is that 1900 MHz voice calls here always warble slightly here (occasional audio glitches and dropouts) on any phone. We are surrounded by tall trees so maybe that is the problem. Or it could be something else but it has been that way for years. When I do get 800 MHz on a voice call, there is no such problem. Actually I have another phone (a Tribute HD) that seems to like using BC 10. Maybe I should just move my main number over onto it. I can use LTE Calling but I have a magic box so there is some latency and it can glitch sometimes too. Thanks.
