  1. Today I made a call to an nTelos user who has an iPhone 6s. When the call first connected I noticed how crisp the call quality was. It sounded kind of like VoLTE on Verizon but a little less crisp. I've read somewhere about HD Voice on Sprint before but have never heard it and let alone here in the nTelos market. It sounds great Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. I really have no issues with 3G in nTelos land. That tower is the only one I use regularly that is a Sprint 3G only. I took a trip to Fredricksburg two weeks ago and most of my drive was Extended 1X. A major pain if you use Spotify
  3. I know Zion Crossroads is not in this market but being that is so close to my home it feels like it to me. Does anyone have any clue when Sprint is going to start rolling out LTE to these sites from Zions on the way to Richmond. It doesn't matter what time I am in this Sprint area the speeds are almost unusable. The site on 64 has no new equipment so I'm guessing it's going to be a while [emoji24][emoji24] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. It would have to be USCC. I don't roam any other time so I'll be able to keep it under the roaming limit. I'll check for the next few days to see if anything appears. I will say it normally appears within 24 hours when roaming on USCC 1X Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. I have been seeing this over the past few days. LTE roaming at my house at Lake Monticello. When I head into the basement and lose nTelos service this kicks in. It starts with 1X and switches to LTE after a few seconds. The speeds are not that great but it doesn't count towards my roaming bucket or normal. Very strange Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  7. I have seen a great deal of improvement over the past two weeks on my drive home to Lake Monticello. I will say the iPhone might have one of the worst radios I have ever used. This is from my house at Lake Monticello. This is usually the speed all the time. Never really any fluctuation. I'm beyond happy with nTelos's progress. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. I came from Verizon. I had so many issues with their Band 4 LTE that I would have to turn LTE off. They have their phones prioritized so that the good 700mhz Band 13 is secondary. I had nTelos years before that but I can honestly say I have had zero issues with Sprint(other than customer service) and have had a few people sign up with service. 9. From my experience here in Charlottesville I have noticed great improvement since December. Band 41 has been deployed in a few places throughout town and I don't see as much fallback to 3G. Sent from my SM-G925P using Tapatalk
  10. I am back on as well without a ##update Sent from my SM-G925P using Tapatalk
  11. I am back to having the issue of dropping to 1X since we cant authenticate. Wonder what happened...
  12. Down at Lake Monticello and the downtown end of Charlottesville. Anybody got any ideas? Sent from my SM-G925P using Tapatalk
  13. I was a good ways past the Central Plains nTelos site. I'm assuming that is the last one broadcasting since that barely covers the town of Fork Union. My iPhone would lose service right as you are passing the pharmacy and stores but my galaxy hung on until I got to the bridge crossing the James. Do you travel 15 frequently? Sent from my SM-G925P using Tapatalk
  14. I didn't have it on! It is on now so the next time I head out that way I'll have it. I'm sure you know the answer to this question, is it normal for SCP to not know a provider or display an incorrect one? When I first looked it didn't say anything and somthing out unknown PLMN and then I saw nTelos band 25. I was nowhere near nTelos coverage so I know this couldn't be right. 15. Just came back from a quick trip to Buckingham after I passed New Canton I picked up U.S. Cellular roaming LTE. Last time I was through there it wasn't working. Honestly you would burn up your roaming data in a matter of minutes but better than 1X! SCP didn't know what provider it was. I do know it is USCC though. Sent from my SM-G925P using Tapatalk
  16. Totally unrelated to our market but the LTE at Short Pump was great. First time I really paid attention and saw I was on a Clearwire 41 site. Speeds were a consistent 60mbps+. On the other hand Zions Crossroads is still 3G all the way to Goochland Sent from my SM-G925P using Tapatalk
  17. I switched to a Galaxy S6 last week, its only temporary but I am enjoying it! Anyways.... I have done a good deal of Sensorly mapping in the Lake Monticello area and from Fork Union to Troy. nTelos LTE has improved 100% from when it was first turned on. Where I would lose LTE for about 10 miles on my way home I now have it. EV-DO fall back is still not working right. Also on a side note the signal quality on the S6 has been worlds better than my iPhone. I could hardly hold LTE on the iphone where the S6 is holding on with a decent signal reading.
  18. I just spotted band 41 for the first time on my Sprint phone. Over where CFA institute moved into the old MJH. The speeds were pretty good actually Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. So I might sound dumb for asking this but why does ePHRD not work for us? I have honestly never kept up on how EVDO works, I know the basics but nothing more Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. Last year when I had nTelos the first LTE I saw in Charlottesville at Pantops was 1-2 bars of band 41. It caused major issues for nTelos customers because for the 3-4 weeks it was working everything you would connect and drop back to 3G you had no data until you restarted your phone. When I asked my connection at nTelos about it he said they were testing in home LTE with dish and mobile users were never meant to connect. So band 41 did exist at some point Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. I generally get about 5mbps-10 and at home regularly get 15-25 Mbps. It's all about the area Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. Thank you!! Although I can't map I do look to see what others pick up Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. Thank you for this! I noticed the same thing about the site at Troy. Will not connect but my phone will hold on the B25 from the site at Lake Monticello. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. Last year in Charlottesville band 41 was open for nTelos users. It only lasted a month and was very weak, but from what I was told they were testing with Dish Network. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. That last picture was mine and I was in nTelos land. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
