Of course it won't. At least there is progress in other parts of Iowa and the country. I am excited to see how much better Des Moines and the Quad Cities are after the switch! I'm glad Sprint and AT&T were paying attention to the spectrum disparity and were willing to work together to improve service for both sets of customers. -
It makes sense IC area is low priority (only 100k ish people) but i'be been to smaller college towns that are better. Oh well , no biggie

I also have a iPhone 6S w/ B41 (Thanks for reminding me to add it to my device profile ), but if you saw the previous conversations, IC and Coralville doesn't have B41

Really? I've stood near to several towers at 6 or 7 am (Non peak times) and haven't gotten more than 10ish. Also, is there any word about densification? The coverage map shows "best" for most of IC and Coralville and Sensorly shows good coverage, but that is NOT my experience or that of anyone I know.

What about Iowa City? I know Speedconnect owns the B41 there too, but does Sprint have enough spectrum to add a second B25 carrier? Or even just filling out the current coverage there- it is abysmal.

That's Iowa for you- widespread (but slow) 3G EV-DO that penetrates everywhere, and spotty but fast LTE B25/26 (When you can catch it). I wish we could keep the signal for longer, but the towers need lots of tuning and good 'ol Apple loves our batteries too much to let us use a weak LTE signal *Sigh* .

I know they aren't. It just seems like they "might" become one later this year from what I have read on this site and Reddit(Unofficial and speculative, I know). Whether it happens or not, it'd be nice for Sprint to optimize their towers. I know that the IC area is lower priority than a city like Des Moines or Cedar Rapids, but I know they will get it done and I have faith that they WILL be the #1 or #2 network in 18-24 months like Marcelo says!

Yeah. I guess that's all anyone can ask for. 2.5gHz in the IC area is owned by an internet company, so it will be a LONG time before the IC area even GETS band 41, let alone gets it optimized. Hopefully the CCA/RRPP will go live soon with pseudo-native US Cellular LTE because USCC's LTE coverage is amazing in IC.

I hope The Iowa City area has old iDEN equipment that has yet to be replaced and I hope that current band 25/26 will be optimized properly. I know most towers have bands 25/26, but usually coverage is pretty small and going inside at all throws down to slow 3G (EV-DO).

I hope the LTE coverage gets better and the EVDO gets faster. I know it will probably be a long time before the IC area gets B41 because there is an internet company that owns most to all 2.5GHz spectrum ????
