HTC A9 (FCC)
in HTC
Showed up today. Somehow it took FedEx 2.5 days to make a 10 hour trip.So did the phone ever arrive?
What's your thoughts so far on it? Is it a keeper? My biggest concern is if it holds on to a signal.
So far it seams about the same as my M8 but I haven't lost LTE yet that I've seen. The fingerprint sensor is nice and fast-faster than my 6+. Screenshots are a pain. You have to hold power + volume down for a second to take one. The only lag I've noticed is while things are installing witch is pretty normal for Android. If there's anything else you want to know in particular let me know

I guess I should be happy there is a light at the end of the tunnel.... I ordered on 10/29 but I guess standard shipping orders go out later.
Ah well
I did the free shipping (3-5 days if I remember correctly). From what I've read it's basically like a lottery system with who gets sent out. They've screwed this launch up pretty bad.

Ordered a Carbon Gray version over a month ago and its still delayed from HTC. No word on a shipping date.
I ordered mine on 11/4 and got the shipped email this past Saturday. Didn't leave the warehouse until Sunday and scheduled to arrive on Wednesday.

I've had a package marked out for delivery in Front Royal, VA that showed up three days later in Ohio. UPS tried blaming it on hurricane Sandy when my area wasn't even affected by it.
I've also had a package being returned to our distributor in Hagerstown, MD that showed up empty four weeks later in New Mexico. The jokes on them, it was just defective equipment.

For those wondering about the A9 being unlocked when ordered from HTC, I just received this. And yes I ordered the Sprint version.

I have a M9. Like I said up until Friday morning I never had an issue with handoff. Not sure if you have an S6, but that is a problem with that phone. I haven't heard of that issue with any others. My wife has an S6 and has had some issues with dropped calls.
Sent from my Note 4.

That 0.6% drop rate is going to be going up quickly. Every time I handoff to another site my calls drop. I first noticed it Friday but figured it was because of Apple Blossom. That was until today when driving back from Harrisonburg on I81 the longest I could keep a call active was about a minute.

I'm not sure how it got past QC but I got an evo 3d from them without the screen attached. They were really baffled when I called that one in but they sent me another one next day.

Would a big blue tinted spot in the upper right corner of my screen be a call to Sprint of HTC? I never noticed it before since my background in that spot is also blue.

Is "unknown" a new feature? Latest beta.

I am not trying to be gruff with you. But too many wishful thinkers will take your screenshot to mean that SVLTE is making a comeback.
AJ
It would be nice if SVLTE came back but I knew that wasn't the case. I only lurk the threads that pertain to me and don't recall seeing that in the Signal Check thread so I thought it was new.

Typically it works fine. From what I've seen it appears to show both only after switching technology on its own. If I airplane mode it to switch then it only displays Lte like it should. I was seeing the same thing in the engineering screens so Mike might have fun trying to figure out how to display the one it's actually connected to.Hmmm.... But no GCI reported? Bummer.

Mike, I sent a diagnostic report. Screen shot is different than when I sent the report. This is on a M9

I think I found an undocumented feature. Both were updating at the same time.

Just ordered by gunmetal gray from Sprint (thru HTC's web site, which re-directed me to sprint.com). Unfortunately, the usual mail-in rebate crap for $50, but will eventually be $199.99 as contract upgrade.
*tick-tock, tick-tock, tick-tock . . . *
Mine was $199.99 from the get go. YAY business plans!!

McDonald's uses Wayport for there network witch is owned by AT&T.Wifi for some restaurants like McDonalds and hotels up here use AT&T. AT&T exists several states away. I am sure this is the same type of set up.

What is the part number on your box? I ordered mine during the promo but came locked with no 6 months free Google play music. I was waiting to see other reports on being unlocked before I said anything.
