I assume that Android Pay is the result of Google buying Softcard/ISIS, and that is why Sprint isn't showing up as an Android Pay partner -- they were never a Softcard partner.

For those that follow the Boston Marathon - Verizon/AT&T set up some COWs.
The AT&T COW looks pretty legit.
Unfortunately, no Sprint COWs to be seen.
I've never seen a Sprint CoW in Boston. Verizon and AT&T are at every big event, and T-Mobile is at quite a few as well, but not Sprint.

Is there any compelling reason to have this service at the consumer level? I understand business applications but I'm not quite sure why anyone else would need this.
There are services, such as home monitoring/IP Webcam services, that use an IP whitelist.

My latest bill included a note that they're changing the upgrade eligibility for subsidized phones from 20 months to 24 months. Honestly it seems pretty stupid to me, they should have at least changed it back to 22 months. Getting people to renew BEFORE their contract expires is a great way to keep people from jumping ship, and Sprint needs all the help they can get with retention.
Think about it like the average customer: currently a customer gets a notice that they can get a new phone. They might look at other carriers, but they'd have to wait four more months or pay an ETF to get a new shiny phone. That's a pretty big incentive to stay. Under the new plan, when a customer is eligible for a new phone they could either stay with Sprint or port to T-Mobile (which they keep seeing all these blogs raving about how great they are) or Verizon (which is offering a $150 credit to port in your number). Suddenly Sprint doesn't seem like such a hot deal.

Looking at the potential store closure list, I am surprised to see the Radioshack in Tenleytown, Washington, DC closing. Sprint has zero retail presence in upper northwest and Georgetown, two large shopping areas. The other DC closings kind of make sense because of their close proximity to a Sprint corporate store. Hope the bankruptcy court will move swiftly.

I'm shocked that my local radio shack isn't closing. It's in a shopping mall that already has a third-party sprint store and there's a corporate store in the strip mall across the street.

I'm probably wrong but I thought SoftBank wanted to use Sprint stores to sell more than just phones.
This could be a huge PR win. Saving some stores and who knows maybe even staff.

As long as they keep the drawers of electronic components (resistors, diodes, etc) it's fine by me. Radio shack is the last retail source for those items in most areas.

As others are saying, Sprints strongest aspect is certainly the call quality. Maybe they should advertise that. Especially for people who use their phones for business.
I think they tried that already:

That's horrible! Wow
It has to re-enable itself. It's baked into the kernel and data won't work without it. There are plenty of mostly stock roms like BadBoyz that have successfully removed it, but they had to modify dozens of files, as well as the kernel, to get it to work.

I went into my data/epst screen menu and actually saw it under the settings as being disabled I'm on the previous update and not the latest one so is it possible to go into your debug engineering screen and disable it from there?
You'll need the msl to make edits though!
If you're on the latest update and disable it through EPST it will re-enable itself when you reboot.

The ItsOn app is very hidden and won't show up in your list of apps. Unless you installed something like the BadBoyz rom, it's on your phone.

http://support.sprint.com/support/article/title/1262a1a4-1c34-4543-b69d-d1e30f3931a7

Based on customer’s individual accounts they will receive qualified offers for one or more of the following:
Talk Without Limits—Your plan will include unlimited talk minuteswhile on the Sprint network to anywhere in the U.S. (for customers on legacy plans with limited voice minutes).
Latest Phone for $5 a month - You’ll now be able to get a new iPhone 6 (16GB ) or Samsung Galaxy S® 5 for only $5 a month with $0 down (with your existing rate plan). That translates into a $360 savings over two years (after $15/mo. Loyalty Service Credit).
Free 12 Months of Service When You Add a New Line to Your Account - Just in time for holiday giving, you can add a line to your Sprint account. How will the customer know about the offers?
Customers will receive letters, emails and/or SMS beginning in late November through mid-December providing specific direction on how to take advantage of these offers.
I am a long time Sprint customer, so why am I not eligible for the “Holiday Thank You” offers?

M8 H/K Ed. $350 out the door direct from Sprint.... Anybody believe we will see any better deals closer to Black Friday???
I'm seeing $360, and for new EasyPay lines only. On my current plan, I'd have to activate a new line, get the phone, cancel, and pay off the balance.

Looks like Sprint stock just lost the rest of the bump it got from the iPhone plans.
Will Sprint eventually adopt Softcard (formally Isis Wallet) instead of just Google Wallet?

Looks like Softcard became Android Pay, and Sprint is not a partner.
