  1. This is where common sense has to kick in. Framily is one of the best programs Sprint has ever launched. You get my code, that's it. I'll stop when the first guy asks me to give out my ssn, and wire money to Kenya.
  2. Excellent. I am about to post on several forums, and possibly craigslist ads to fill up my framily. It's win-win for all. The rep at the Sprint store told my brother today that he can hang out and try to "hand out" our code. Nothing wrong with it. Unfortunately, the 3 people in the store today were signing up for prepaid.
  3. There really is no risk with sharing your framily id, right? Nothing can be changed on YOUR account, people only can come and go. No personal information is gained other than possibly a first name and the last 4 of your phone number, right? Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.
  4. I should have mentioned that the exception is you can merge every account that you own. My apologies.
  5. I've read in other forums that Sprint would not activate a n5 that was purchased directly from T-Mobile previously.
  6. Sprint will never allow two existing groups to merge. That will kill their profit. Anyone that knows 10 people with phones, a few of them will have Sprint and would just merge together for a discount. The whole point of framily is to bring in new customers, and everyone in the group gets a discount for it. It's a glorified referral program.
  7. Sprint really screwed the pooch when they decided that framily id numbers should contain upper/lower case numbers, and make their input case-sensitive. It took 5 texts to explain to my brother that "no, that's like 3 zeros, a lower-case 'o,' and an upper-case 'O.'"
  8. Today, I went from not sure if I'll migrate to framily, to having 6 lines linked, with 2 more possibly joining. Today was a good day. (AJ, cue the YouTube music video).
  9. Yeah. I'm reading lots of things online that suggest apple implementing a higher level of security on the iPhone 5s. Not sure if the prl can be changed on this phone without some kind of patch.
  10. I've followed the instruction exactly. I tried two times, can't get the custom prl to load. I'm still on the Sprint 51099. That would change if the load worked properly, right? Any suggestions?
  11. Here is a screenshot from my phone. It looks like I have carrier.pri and not .prl. Does it matter? Also, can the file be downloaded locally and pasted without using a computer?
  12. You'll be fine, just restore if you ever have to visit the apple store for a warranty claim
  13. While we're on the subject of prl's, which prl will make 1x800 top priority for voice?
  14. Well, that was easy . Does it bother anyone else that field test has never been updated to fit the 5/5s screen? C'mon, Apple, get with it.
  15. Care to explain? Is there something in cydia? I would love for it to show dBm, but that field test mode trick doesn't work in iOS 7
  16. That originalbars theme needs work. It only shows bars while you're in an app. The home screen still has dots.
  17. Has anyone else received this email? I'm not a tablet guy, nor do I use android, but it seems like a decent deal
  18. Has anyone run across a working theme or app that replaces the signal dots with the old bars? I'm dying for this.
  19. It's really based on personal preference. People want what's available now. And the truth is, T-Mobile has speeds that blow the doors off of Sprint in most urban areas. Living in the third largest city in America, I can say, I'm not impressed with Sprint's LTE speed. Sometimes, I would pay for a tmo device on edge just to pull up a mobile site in less than 2 minutes. Only the sprint faithful care about the scope of the project, and what they'll be doing in 2-3 years. The average consumer doesn't care and will bail quickly, or just avoid sprint all together.
  20. I thought the shutdown date was 1/31? Could Sprint already be using this spectrum here in Chicago?
  21. Wait, so when USCC gets shutdown, Sprint won't run two combined carriers for 10x10 LTE? It will be either or? How do you know which you're connected to through the phone engineering screens? Thanks
  22. Still just 5x5 on my iPhone field test screen.
  23. Let's say you got a shiny, new phone and contract for Christmas, or sometime before 1/10/14, by switching to framily, you're essentially knocking a full year off your contract. You're remaining contractual obligation to sprint becomes 12 months from framily activation. After the 12 months, you're contract free, and able to upgrade if you choose using their new "easy pay" plan. No catch, once their "limited time" time frame is established, you'll avoid that fee.
