  1. I pre-ordered one but it never came in.  I inquired with customer service several times and then just quit trying.  They completely botched the launch and their customer service is terrible!

I too may eventually try one if heavily discounted.

  2. Not thrilled with the fact that he missed his own deadline. He shouldn't make promises/statement he can't keep. It has me questioning my decision to buy one.

Reliability/follow through should be a pillar for every start up company.

  3. Just placed an order for one of these.  Finally got over the disappointment that was the Moto X announcement.

With my luck, the day I activate this some never-before-seen version of the Moto X comes to Sprint for free. Ha!

Let us know how you like it.

  4. Im interested to see what LTE bands it will support.  They were very general with the Network specs on the tableb, where the Nexus 6 specifically called out the bands.

I agree that the N9 appears to be lacking in the details department.

  5. Remember the good ole days of knowing when a person had a car phone based off of the antenna stuck to the window?  Seems like just yesterday everyone had one.  Later they progressed to into the fins on the roof if you bought the manufacturers branded/built in phone.

The questions:  Did those exterior antennas really provide better reception?  Did these car manufacturers branded phones that were detachable really make use of the shark fin antenna or just the one on the phone?  Is it even possible for modern phones to make use of an exterior antenna on a vehicle since they have so many?  If they do provide better reception should car manufacturers find a way to connect to the phone and build in all the antennas into the vehicle?  Is a modern connected car antenna more powerful than a phones?

I realize the connected car exists now (Audi A8 to name one).  A dedicated phone charging port that connects to the cars more powerful antennas would be handy.

Look forward to hearing your thoughts.

  6. It was announced last year October and honestly I would be surprised if this new device has anything faster than the s801 even though rumors been hinting at the s805.  I don't see htc spending the extra money for a more expensive chipset on a device that probably few will end up buying.  Besides the s801 is more than capable, not to mention that the m8 which been out since march is still the fastest and most responsive android device as of this moment.

The 805 would be nice from a carrier aggregation stand point.

  7. Don't they announce their phablet in the fall? I would assume it'll be a One Max of some kind.

    Sent from my Nexus 5

Seems like I remember reading that Max came out in Q4 last year.

  8. Really only you can answer that question.  I think the e8 is a great device to own considering the price compared to the m8.

Don't get me wrong.  The E8 appears to be solid and does fill a price point.  It seems to be half way supported by Sprint considering it is only offered online.  Do you think an M8 with dual 13mp cameras (AKA Butterfly J 2) in polycarbon casing would be roughly same price point if it were offered?

  9. Thanks for the link.  Looks like a good option.  The question is will this phone be a moot point after HTC event on October 8th?  Is HTC going to be the next Sony with an updated flagship model every 6 months?  Really hoping for an 805 processor this go around then an 810 in late Q1/early Q2 of '15.  64- bit is taking to long to arrive.

  10. So, if I read this correctly, the E8 is a plastic version of the M8, but it's the size of the M7? Does that mean M7 accessories would fit it?

The shape is slightly different. The back of the E8 is sloped down at the top and bottom in addition to the sides (M8 is only the sides).
  11. Wow, very little response to this phone so far. I thought everyone one was itching for a M8 with a higher megapixel camera without a duo camera. Interesting...

  12. Anyone picking one of these up? I am thinking about it. Would appreciate some help if someone can interpret the FCC RF data to see how it stacks up.

  13. It seems like the month of August is typically Sprints Motorola announcement month.  Does anyone else associate the two together?  Oh well for this year!

What other brands do you associate with months of the year?  With Sprint or without?
