Good news in sponsor forums. go check it out if you live in the areas!
Do you have a link to the thread?

I had SignalCheck Pro open just now and I just had it show me that I was connected to LTE but the Serving Cell was blank and I had a new line that said RFBand: [Restricted]. What does that mean?

So if the first generation of Tri-Band LTE phones come out this fall, should the 2nd set be coming out in the May timeframe? My contract is up in May, so I might as well just wait until then to upgrade my phone.

Anything in Omaha?Another tower LTE accepted in Lincoln!

I see your Lincoln speed test and raise you an Omaha one. At Brazenhead for dinner tonight off of 78th and Dodge/Cass.

HTC One is pretty flipping amazing in every way man, not joke! I am quite disappointing in the EVO LTE (wtf... LTE is the the name!!) as well, I had one, my wife has one, my parents and multiple people (let's just say I have s-off't 19 EVO LTE's) I know got one after I did, who knew LTE was actually going to make it to Omaha this year. Lol! Well when it's "that time" (2yr mark) LTE should be pretty much covering us so they'll all upgrade to the next device OR get smoking deals on the HTC One and they'll love the phone AND the LTE.
Today was a very disappointing day for me because I was driving with the family and we crossed 90th and Dodge (headed east), my HTC One chimes (of course I was running Sensorly and SignalCheck Pro and expected to pick it up in that area) and I realize, wife's phone has NOTHING! Then I put her phone in airplane mod, switch back, still nothing.... I have -90dBm LTE on my phone and her poor EVO LTE doesn't even see LTE at all. I don't get it...
I wonder if I could go to Sprint and try to trade my EVO out for a refurb S3. I was able to swap out my Touch Pro for a Touch Pro 2 back in the day for a similar reason...

I know for a fact it has a bad antenna for lte. We knew this before it was on sell. Sent from my HTC ONE from Tapatalk 2
I wish I would have waited a month and bought a Galaxy SIII instead. I think unless HTC wows me with their next phone, I will getting a Samsung from here on out.

I think the HTC EVO 4G LTE has a horrible 4G antenna. I was at lunch around 72nd and Dodge and my friend who has a GS3 was pulling down LTE no problem, while I wasn't even able to get a connection.

Ran this speed test yesterday (07/17/2013) at approximately 6:00 PM CST at the intersection of NW 12th & W Adams St just east of the airport. It finished just as I was turning onto I-80 heading west.
Damn! I've never had anything over 9 in Omaha.

You get 20-30Mbps from Verizon?? Wow. I haven't seen 20-30Mbps on my VZW hotspot in 9 months, except perhaps after Midnight. I average 2-4Mbps on Verizon at peaks times and sometimes even drop below 1Mbps. This is happening all over the country.I'm looking forward to Sprint LTE in my area so I can have faster speeds than Verizon. :heh:Robert from Note 2 using Tapatalk 4 Beta
I don't but my friends do. I got 4Mbps on Sprint and they got 20ish Mbps on Verizon.

Compared to Verizon's 20-30Mbps, Sprint is pretty slow. I'm assuming they will bump up the speed in the future?
-
Unfortunately I didn't. Sounds like there was better coverage around 78th and Dodge as I see stronger signals there from what I picked up. Hopefully they can get 72nd and Pacific going on 4G as their 3G doesn't work for my device there. It shows signal but no data works (or VERY VERY slow to the point where everything times out).
Yeah the speed around there is horrible - just like Village Pointe.

Happen to run a speed test?

It's behind Gorilla Wash (I think that's the name) on off 156th and industrial.

I'm in Kansas City this weekend and one speedtest I ran showed 30Mbps

Hopefully more towers get flipped on soon. I'd be ecstatic if I could get just 3G speeds at Village Pointe.

Tried remapping 2 areas today running sensorly LTE discovery together and still nothing, starting to think my phone is broken.
What phone do you have? I heard the EVO LTE has a crappy LTE radio.

I live in Papillion and work in Council Bluffs. Last night I noticed the 4g in the menu bar and have 4g in my house this morning. According to speedtest.net I have 1512 down and 601 up with a ping of 104 ms here at home. I live right behind the Lowe's and Wal-Mart on 72nd and Giles. I have been waiting for faster mobile service for 3 yrs now and hard to believe it is here.
Wait, so you have LTE on 72nd and Giles? Did more towers pop up? If you are connected to LTE, please download the Sensorly app and have it map it.

I didn't go south of Chandler Road. I assumed that it was the tower North of 25th and Chandler according to Sensorly.

I don't know much about how towers work. Is it possible I'm only seeing it because I'm above ground level? I went down to the street and walked around for a few blocks and couldn't get any LTE. I came back upstairs and it came back on the second I stepped off the elevator.
They might have it turned onto some low power mode for testing or something. I wonder if this will be the next accepted tower.
Here are where I picked up LTE this afternoon...

It's marked on Sensorly. I drove by twice and didn't get a signal.LTE is live in Downtown Omaha! It just came online within the last hour. I just pulled 1347kbps down, 1315kbps up with a 53ms ping using speedtest and am successfully, for the first time ever in Omaha, streaming a movie to my S3. Whoo!
I know there is still tuning to do and the rest of the city, but the fact that I'm connected by LTE is reason to celebrate!
Where at downtown? Ill stop down there after work.
Edit: stupid tapatalk glitched and I didn't see he posted where he found it. Ill still go down there to see if it is fluke incident lol

Sensorly is an app that marks connections on a map. You should download it and let it scan.Thank you BPHusker, glad someone believes me. Go Big Red!
