I've had my GS3 for a day and can report that the battery is a beast. Then again, I haven't exactly been spoiled having come from an OG EVO and a GNEX for a day. Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk 2

I wished mine worked. Right after I said I didn't have the data bug, I get the data bug. I tried updating profile, PRL, rebooting, toggling data on and off, and my data was out the whole morning. The sprint guy couldn't even figure it out. I really wanted that phone, but I didn't want to take a chance and get another one that had the same problem, so I just went with the GS3. I like the look of the Nexus better, but I need the phone to work. The GS3's body is so slick and slippery, I need to get a case ASAP. On the bright side, I noticed right off the bat that the battery is much better. Oh, and they did charge me a restocking fee which I don't think is fair, I just got the phone yesterday and it clearly didn't work.

Had the data bug on my GNEX and exchanged for a GS3. I guess my stock android experience will be limited to my nexus 7. Can't believe they still haven't fixed that phone.

Well, that was fun while it lasted. Data went out this morning and didn't come back. Took it back to Sprint, they could not fix it. Exchanged for a shiny, touchwizy, new GS3. Hope this works.

I'm rarely in edge of service conditions and Minneapolis is flat. I'll get the extended battery. Hopefully it'll be all good, sprint will light up LTE soon, and the phone will actually play nice with LTE.

I have the "no data bug" in the elevator at work, had it on all my phones. Data comes back when I get out , and it's on the 29th floor.

I'm just glad it's over! I've been thinking about my next phone since the last android update made my OG EVO slow and laggy. I was waiting on the new EVO, the GS3, or the new photon. I read everything about every new phone from every site. Didn't want a fixed battery, a physical keyboard, and after my experience with the NS4G, didn't really want a manufacturer skin. So galaxy nexus it is, along with its crappy radio and battery! Because plain android and jellybean!

I'm late, but I just picked one up today despite the reports of poor radios and bad battery life. The radios seem fine, but I can confirm it's a battery hog. Maybe the battery needs to be broken in. I'm definitely picking up the sprint version of the extended battery when it's available in August. I wanted to like the GS3, but couldn't get past the home button, shiny look, and touchwiz. Can't wait for Jellybean, especially after using the nexus 7!

Too late, picked one up today. Couldn't resist the $100 price plus $50 Google wallet credit. This phone was $300 6 months ago. So far so good. I can't do manufacturer skins anymore, so my only options were either keep the NS4G, wait for the next nexus, or free GNEX with NS4G trade. If the next nexus is unbelievable, I'll just use the mother in law's upgrade.

The new nexus may come out in November but who knows when sprint will get it. I'm really more concerned with when the Sprint version of the next Nexus phone would be released. The last two Sprint versions were 4 months or so after anyone else got it. The Galaxy Nexus on Sprint just came out in late April, only 3 months ago, and now it's pretty much free, not a bad deal. Yeah, it's been out for Verizon since last year, but I don't really care about Verizon phones.

With new agreement or renewal of course. This is tempting. They offer $58 for my Nexus S 4G, and $50 Google wallet credit, they're essentially paying me $8 to get the Galaxy Nexus. Is it worth it to lose my wimax and not have LTE until April? Does this mean that they're clearing inventory for a new Nexus?

That sucks. I didn't even expect to get one today, I just wanted to get on the list next wave of pre-orders and get my extra credit for trading in the galaxy tab 2 towards the Nexus. He says the galaxy tab I have is worth $150 instead of the $130 they told me on the phone, and oh, by the way we have one Nexus left, do you want it now? Uh, yeah! Deal! I like it a lot better than the galaxy tab 2 which seemed kind of laggy and it was brand new! That tablet kind of sealed the deal for me as far as swearing off any manufacturer skins.

Walked into gamestop today, they gave me $150 for my 7 inch galaxy tab 2, and walked out with a Nexus 7. I didn't have a pre-order.

And if history is any indicator, sprint won't get it till April 13. I don't want to wait that long.

If JB isn't as much of an undertaking, it seems quite possible that as those flagships from last year move onto ICS, the Nexus S 4G will be getting JB. Even after reading that Verge article, I still don't know what I want, but the comment about "living with a phone for longer than the honeymoon period" has me leaning again towards the Nexus. I'm almost as excited about getting Jellybean on my stopgap craigslist Nexus S 4G as am about getting a new phone.

Like I mentioned earlier,the Nexus S 4G has ice cream sandwich, while none of the flagships from last year do. The GS3's predecessor, the Sprint version GS2, is still on gingerbread, and its a newer phone with better specs than the Nexus S 4G.

That's when it was released, but the internals are basically the same as the original Galaxy, which had more or less the same RAM and processor speed as the EVO. I really love the specs of the GS3, but the fact that the Nexus S4G is still going strong I think proves that software is just as important, if not more important, than the hardware. I bought the Nexus S 4G to tide me over till my upgrade, but I've really grown to like it. It's way smoother than my glitchy, laggy EVO was.
