  1. I have a couple of PRL questions. One of my phones allows me to update PRL VIA wifi. Another phone does not. Does you location affect the PRL update you get? For instance, if I update the PRL near a certain tower does that become my base? So would it be best to update the PRL in each area you are in. I do a lot of travelling.

  2. Has anyone drove around Lake Tahoe to see where there is LTE? North Shore is my old stomping ground and I had Sprint when I left in 2003 which worked well in Incline Village. I see some talk about South Lake but nothing else.

I see Elko, Wendover and Eureka mentioned here. Maybe a Great Basin Market would be fitting for any activity in the Great Basin (IE 90% of Nevada and about half of Utah.

  3. I have found 1x800 in a few places in NH so far. First, in the Goffstown to Manchester area. I think the tower on the Uncanoonuc mountain is transmitting it. Also, up in Lebanon there is a stout 1x800 signal that travels pretty far. Last night I was actually able to browse with a 1x800 signal and download an app in Rindge NH. I am still learning how to id towers so I am not sure what kind of range there is.

  4. Just took a trip down through Peterborough to Rindge. I had a steady 1x800 signal on the main drag and it was usable inside Hannaford with about 30-60k per second downloads. I am new to cell ids but it had the same number as the 1x800 signal I had in Lebanon on Monday. I am not sure if it is the same tower or not. Regardless, I also picked up a weak band 26 in Hannaford parking lot there tonight. I am able to say that the signal down there just edges out Verizon.

  5. I went to the cell sites at South Uncanoonuc mountain today. I mapped it on Cellmapper. There doesn't seem to be anything from Sprint on the site besides maybe 1x800. I get a fairly strong 1x800 signal there. This is probably the same signal I get down in Goffstown. There are a couple of abandoned sites there. I took some pictures of a smaller tower that doesn't have anything on it now. Hopefully Sprint can setup something here because pretty much anywhere west of Manchester has next to nothing.

  6. I travel past the Uncanoonuc mountains near Goffstown daily where there are a lot of transmitters. Sprint's signal is almost non existent towards Goffstown. I don't think they are using a tower at the top of those mountains. I am going to take a trip up there within the next few weeks and see if there is a signal. It seems there is an old Nextel tower at the top of one of the mountains that is not being used. I wish they would utilize any towers they may have there. Looking on Sprint's upgrade site doesn't show any activity there but if you look up the licenses, Sprint's name is mentioned. I will report back with any findings.

  7. Areas west of Manchester are pretty spotty. No LTE once you get outside of Manchester. I believe Sprint has a tower atop Pat's Peak ski resort as there is fair coverage in that vicinity. (3g) Other than that there is really nothing. Most of the highways have no signal or maybe 0-1 bars of 1xrtt. I noticed 1x800 around Goffstown but I wasn't able to do any type of speedtest on it. Is Sprint doing any upgrades outside of the cities in NH? They really need to put up a couple of towers so there is at least basic coverage along the highways.

  8. I can only speak for the protection site here in my town but it has sprint LTE bands 25 and 26 already deployed.  Dont know if they removed wimax already or not though.  This is a full build site (not GMO).

what is a GMO site? Are you up near the border? Presque Isle?

  9. Not sure if this is old news but I was able to connect to all 3 LTE bands in Hazleton this evening. I have a Nexus 5. It doesn't have the spark option but I am able to get data on each band. I was near Kmart and I was on band 25 and 26 for awhile. When leaving Kmart it briefly showed me connected to band 41. I wasn't able to test band 41 but my LTE discovery app showed it. I don't see any spark capability on the Sprint map but at least the whole area is covered with LTE.

  10. Does anyone have information on what Sprint will be doing with the Wimax protection sites that are out in rural areas? Will they be converted to Sprint LTE or 3g or will they be abandoned or could other carriers be picking them up? There are a few areas that have Wimax and no LTE anywhere near there so I would like to know if these sites will lose. Please bear with me as I do not understand the backhaul requirements for these sites that are in the middle of nowhere. Are the sites connected via microwave or possibly some type of cable?
