Presentation is a large part of the message. The all caps subject line is a bit much for something that is not even remotely new. It may be new to some but not to those who have been around the wireless block a few times.

Agreed.

Doesn't matter on SVDO or SVLTE phones.
Most Sprint however don't, primarily applicable to phone sold before 2012 and w/o LTE.
I think it was a useful point.
New feature? No.

Lots of the time getting pdf files from the FCC website works best in IE, also Chrome works ok. Not great for a Linux user like me.
I'm currently using Chrome. Generally it seems like direct linking to a FCC file gets me the error page. But accessing via the file index page works fine.

Didn't even know there was such a option.
Now I do.

Doesn't work.

I considered upgrade to the triple play and adding on OOL Ultra(100/15) for $66/mo, but I've yet to really think for the use of all that down speed. Upload speeds is what makes FiOS attractive to me, but I do love my current deal.

Have they started shutting down iDEN-only areas?

It does make me think if SoftBank plans to expand their U.S. presence(pending reg. approval) outside of wireless...

Oh, man, xcharles is going to need some tissues, maybe even a fresh set of drawers after he see this Kevin Fitchard article.
Why we love the Sprint-Softbank deal: The TV ads

Tissues? More like paper towels
I'm sure Moffett thinks this will save Sprint.

How does TD-LTE work in terms of antenna setup compared to FDD? MIMO, diversity n all...

You could not have put it better. The area I live in is served by FiOS and Cablevision. Why people still pay more to be with Cablevision is a question I cannot answer. I had cable my whole life, but once I moved to NY, I signed up for FiOS and it is by far the best, most reliable internet I have ever had. The speed and reliability puts my work's network to shame. The video is also superior to cable. A better fiber backbone can only help strengthen the economy. After all day traders in Europe paid big bucks to have faster transatlantic cables to decrease network latency across the pond to help with stock trading.
/snip/
Cablevision works quite well for me since I only have Optimum Online(Basic tier 15/2). Most of my TV is via Hulu/Netflix/Aereo, This only cost me $30 a month(for 6 months, in which I can just call the and renew the deal since I live in a FiOS area). FiOS internet stand-alone is almost $60.

I'm not so sure if Son + Co really want to get into a game of financial chicken with Ergen. The seems that Clearwire is a critical part of this this deal going through. No Clearwire, no Sprint/Softbank acquisition. Sprint can pull their acquisition deal from CLWR and fight the case of no-breakup fee, but whatever action/inaction Ergen decides to take is just too much of a risk for Son's acquisition deal.

I don't see Sprint seeking for any divestitures from NewCo(T-Mo/Metro). The Sprint/Clearwire/SoftBank/USCC deal combo-pak is already moving it's way through our regulatory system. Not only would it look a bit greedy to go after NewCo for divestitures, but it may only bring another party that would get in the their way from getting these deals done.
As for what may come after these deals are completed, I don't see any budding relationship with Sp-ank-wire(don't google that) and NewCo for at least a few years.

My phone has been experiencing slow data speeds with it switching between 1x and EvDO all day.
Only to realize that I have AT&T.
HSPA+ must be going.

How many POPs would VZW & Sprint cover when their respective LTE deployment is (initially) completed?

Oh yes, "He who shall not be named". He was actually named one of " Best Managers" by BusinessWeek back in '04.
Maybe HP should hire him

And another campaign promise down the drain...

I'm pretty sure that there are some hardline extremis....err...Verizon Wireless customers that feel that Sprint is the Battlefield Earth of wireless carriers.
As far as they know, that extra cash means that they can look down on us...

Insiders tell me the announcement of a 100 Billion Dollar donation will be made.
Aaaannndddd there goes the Softbank deal.

When I look at there coverage, it only showed gsm.
(A)T&T/(V)ZW/(T)-Mobile/(S)print
As for why they all say GSM, idk.

A re brand is not going to make anyone forget about Sprint's Network issues. AT&T became Cingular, only to become AT&T again. Nobody forgot about their garbage network because they changed their name.
But that slightly decomposed garbage turned into a very beautiful orange
Seriously though, re-branding something isn't worth it if something new isn't offered. If Sprint decides to go after the re-brand route, it should be done after a significant portion of NV is complete. I don't see rebranding necessary, but if given the time, negative sigma of the Sprint name from bad experiences from pass(and current) customers will fade.
Besides, I don't see people raving about how good Xfinity is in comparison to good-old Kabletown...

StraightTalk will have the iPhone 5 for the same $45/month price for unlimited talk, text and data. I wonder if that is for the LTE or HSPA network?
Probably 3G only, like their SIM offering.
-
OT, does Sprint still have their customer advocate program?
Why are people so impatient with Sprint?

When are the first NV markets scheduled to be "completed" or at least mostly done?
