  1. Does anyone know if it's possible to turn off just the 3G? Leaving everything else on? So all bands LTE and 1x only. Definitely not as good at keeping LTE at work as my Note 3 did. The wifi at work blows. Seems the signal is the same between the two when I compare side by side. The Note 4 drops out to 3G a lot sooner than my 3 does @ -111ish.

  2. Oh, man... 50% of the calls I make now drop. Sprint knows it and has open the doors for credits and anything to make you happy. This seemed to happen in DFW right before Lte started coming online. So I can make do as long as it comes.

I travel from 104th and Hwy 2 to Quebec, down to 70, to 225, to Parker Rd, then to Arapahoe and Jordan everyday and back. I've had to switch to mp3s and check maps before I leave now. Pandora doesn’t cut it anymore. Total loss from 225 and 6th until I70. Can't wait for it to clear up if nothing else...

  3. Curved display, not flexible.

This message brought to you in part by Sprint and the letters GS and the number 4

Then again, they just might. Considering that in every breaking news brief that has mention Sprint offering the Note 3 that has comments, most if not all are complaining about the price and the one LTE band. The Sprint community forums are starting to get hit with complaints as well. (Hopefully the complaints have stopped here) still, with so much backlash on a flagship device, Sprint just may want to correct the problem by offering the Active. Then again, who knows if that device will be tri-band.

As for myself, I won't lie, I'm also disappointed, but it is what it is. Keep the rants elsewhere.

It's a Flexible Display that they might curve, I don't think so tho. It will be released with the Note 3 Active to say they are the first and beat LG, it will be harder to break as a selling point for the active. If Sprint where to take it, it's late enough to have Tri-Band. I think, the Note 3 just happened to fall before they are ready to say it's a thing. The others are going to roll out just before the Holidays and after the first you'll see Sprint make a big deal out of it. Also, it will be time to start talking GS5.

Samsung calling it a Flexible Display

  4. Robert, I've thought about it and I think you should move to CO. Thornton has all the Service and it's easy to breathe. Also, I heard someone was hiring around there too. I don't know who or what but it's a deal not to pass up. Then we could have monthly S4GRU get togethers, load up a big van and look for towers. ;)

  5. I didn't know about the S-Pen. I don't use it often, but I'm always using it to keep my hands busy. Sliding it in and out in my pocket. lol  The size would probably grow on me but for what I do with it vs needing the size, at that point I move to my computer. I do a lot of one handed things too, and the note is just on the top end of being able to handle it ok. I was happy to see the note not change.

  6. The thing is the Galaxy Mega series from the start wasn't meant to be more top of the line than the Galaxy Note series.  It was created to have the specs of a mid range phone but the screen size like a Galaxy Note.  You seem so surprised at the specs of the Galaxy Mega phone.

To be honest I think Samsung was just throwing darts on a wall with creating yet another screen size for a smartphone to see if there will be high demand for a 6+ inch device without devoting full resources in the premium device in the Galaxy Note series.

That's what it was, I was just thinking bigger phone should be top of the line. Now after posting and thinking, I think your right. Makes sense too, I don't see it having the market like the others. It is nice, but, just above the practical line for a everyday phone. Not that if it was up to top of the line specs, I'd probably be the first to buy it. lol, I would have to change my wardrobe for it.

  7. Just don't get the phone. Its as simple as that. Why agonize over it if it doesn't even fit at all close to your criteria.

I wasn't trying to agonize over it. I guess what I thinking is it just doesn't seem right to see the bigger brother not have the top of the line stuff. Bigger always better feel. I don't know.

  8. Whatever specs u see online, sprint will have those specs for their model

I figured and that really sucks.

    Mega: 6.3"

    Dual-Core 1.7Ghz Snapdragon 400

    1.5GB Ram

    3200 mah Batt

    8GB on board Memory

    8mp Cam

    USB 2.0

    IR Transmitter

    Note 3: 5.7"

    Quad 2.3 Snapdragon 800

    3GB Ram

    3200 mah Batt

    32GB on board Memory

    13mp Cam

    USB 3.0

    IR Transmitter

Just feels like a step backwards... If the phone takes off, will it alway have last years specs? I'm also looking at this as someone who makes having the newest model priority reguardless of cost and for someone who looking from a cost stand point, it would make sense.
