  1. Does anybody know sprints roll out plans for Spark in Fort Lauderdale? According to the maps Sprint spark is available in many areas however my area Margate / Coral Springs has no sprint spark. Does Sprint plan on deploying Sprint Spark to these last few areas.

Orange is 4G LTE, Yellow is Sprint Spark

Yea, soon all the gaps in between will be filled in.
  2. It's wrong. Speeds on Sprint aren't capable of getting the high without carrier aggregation. The speedtest app was wrong.

Yea I thought it was wrong too, till I just sat there, closing the app, resetting my phone, changing servers and all the results were consistent for 25 min straight. Then it went back down. I guess they are working on smtn in my area, for sure.

  3. its simply because verizon has more towers in that location for some reason. also they run on 850MHz or something for 3G.

Also a properly tuned B26 site should easily best a 3G site. i mean heck i have read stuff on here with people saying they got 1x800 more than 10 miles from their location (and i have experienced it to) and i have seen my friends verizon phone on 4G KILL IT in terms of range.

Exactly....more towers. Sprint needs MORE towers....

  4. Well, you are saying that you are connecting to Band 26 outside, but do you know which Band 26 site? It could be a farther one away and not the nearest one at all.

And since no Band 26 is optimized in South Florida yet, it doesn't matter much. They fire up B26 at reduced power to minimize interference between sites. Then they go back afterward and increase broadcast power levels and fully optimize the site to correctly overlap adjacent sites.

So in your instance you can expect further B26 improvement. Definitely when B26 optimization occurs, and possibly also when a closer site goes live if you aren't currently connecting to the closest site. But it will not reach inside every building in every instance. No provider can guarantee that.

Where you currently receive B26, its strength and its speed is not as good as it is going to get. It's going to get much better all around South Florida. And beyond.

This helps, Thx! I just don't know why launch a frequency without optimization...

What up, new here but have been a long lurker of this thread. I just recently caught these screen shots of 1x800 at my house. It was consistent for a good 10 minutes, when it usually just lasts 2-4 seconds and drops back to 1xRTT. Anyone knows the reasoning this could happen and why it just doesn't stay on 1x800?
