At least u guys have.in glendale they sttoped it like a week ago or more and still nothing and 3G speed has gone insane lately
-
Is there anyone on the west part of LA county complaining about slow service....This is a bad service, this zone needs upgrades ASAP(from Monrovia to San Dimas via 210 freeway
And then we passed San Dimas toward Diamond Bar on freeway 57 and there is one updated tower already and speeds ibcreased pretty good.
And finally in Diamond Bar no service at all NO VOICE 1X AND 3G COMPLETELY DISSAPEAR NOT EVEN ROAMING.
-
Nice to see LTE is poping up on the east part of the county.
-
My S3 use the same battery as usual and the LTE mode is on.

LTE is being OFF like for 3 days here in Glendale.
-
Woooow these speeds in this part of the city(speeds here has been the worst of the city ever) and at this time of the day.The tower close has to be under upgrading right now.

i was surprised too...and today is still keep catching it really fast..i dont know if the signal got stranger and the scan time is less now dunno. My phone was doing better locking on to LTE when I was down there yesterday than it has in the past few trips down there. I was surprised.
-
I'VE NOTICED my phone is scanning for LTE more often today...I've been moving all around the city and it lost the signal and then like 2 or 3 mins I looked at it and 4G again. Its been like that all day.Hopefully thats the end of that annoying issue.

the closest site(confirmed 3G) is less than 10 blocks by the Slauson exit on 110 freeway.that one has the RRU and all the stuff pretty weel mounted and organized. The nearest site is not but 12 blocks away. Probably for capacity.

This is one of the speedtests i took right in front of the site.

Yeah Robert..speeds were close to 1Mbps down and between 1 and 1.10 Mbps up.The Pings were high thought...almost 500ms
This is the old iDEN site photo from Google Maps. There were four panels per sector and these are definitely different panels. This site has definitely been upgraded.
RayLuis, did you run any performance testing while there or cycle to try to get LTE?
On another note, sites that do not get RRU's also will not get 800 deployments. No CDMA 800 nor LTE 800.

That is usual, here In these parts of LA where we have LTE already, days or weeks before was like that, crazy one day super high speeds and the other day not even 300KBPS and sudden drops to 1x and constantly switching between EVDO and eHPRD.I've been noticing painfully slow speeds in Brea and Yorba Linda for the past few days - makes me wonder if they're already starting up here? Usually I get 0.2 - 0.3 Mbps in the area, but today and yesterday I was getting 0.02 - 0.05 Mbps. Now I know why Spotify has not been able to stream music
Also, I'm suddenly dropping to 1x in areas where I didn't have problems a couple weeks ago... Curious.
-
yup.there is not any RRU at all and the panels are not NV..Your welcome RobertThe panels are different and there are less of them on each sector. But I do not see any RRU's. But approx. 5% of sites will not get RRU's if the structure cannot support them. I'm not sure what to make of this. Thanks for the photos.

yup.its a pretty simple wood poolInteresting - think that the wood pool doesn't support any additional weight/structural mass on it?
-
Yup.its the same image you see in google maps, from time ago.I agree, It doesn't look like there is any NV equipment on that tower.
-
Robert, Here you have some pictures of the converted(iDen to CDMA) site in the neighborhood of South Central, Los Angeles, CA. It looks identical to the picture I saw on google maps, same panels. Maybe the changed the ground base or...dunno. Take a look at it
