  1. Quick question, by NV are you guys talking about Nevada? or something else? Sent from my EVO 4G LTE using Tapatalk
  2. LOL Yeah I love the voice search also, the old evos would do it by just holding down the search button. I miss it. I'm just going to email and call HTC then. Thanks. Sent from my EVO 4G LTE using Tapatalk
  3. Ok so long story short, a friend of mine joined the sprint crew this weekend she did want to pay $100-200 for a decent phone so I gave her my 3D and used her upgrade for to get my self this the new awesomeness I am really loveing this phone... But how the heck do I do a quick search? Every android phone up to this point had a search button, and I used mine religiously. I saw on the galaxy nexus that if you hold down one of the 3 buttons at the bottom it would do it, but no such luck with the new EVO. Am I missing something? I know I can stick the search widget on the search widget on a home screen but its just the the same as having it there all the time. Or is there a way to put the search bar at the top of the screen and have it there all the time like you can with the galaxy nexus? Thanks Sent from my EVO 4G LTE using Tapatalk
  4. All good points but i was simply implying why I added in the price of the contract into the price of the phone and why someone might cancel after signing a new contract and making the justification that I would be better off to just buy it off craigslist then go through this contract buy up program. However your post got me thinking. I mean, no matter what the reasons my bill is much higher and I have less features/perks to show for it. $75/month more is $1800 more throughout the life of a contract, and what gets under my skin is I didn't sign up for that. :-( Also... 1) ASL was put into place even if you already paid your deposit and had been with sprint for years. but today a new 18 year old with fresh/no credit gets charged a deposit and ASL and also a late fee if he pays late. I might be wrong, but it just feels like they're charging 3 times for the samething. 2) changed because sprint changed its policy/agreement with all the employers 3) when this took place I called sprint and was told, the FP was going to be dropped to $110, but I checked a few days ago and the family plan prices are still the same so I need to call them say WTF because my bill went up. 4) I would have rather been grandfathered into not paying it. 5) I know why they did it, but all im saying is that was a pretty awesome perk that people loved, Sprint advertised and marketed it as well. So many people where very upset when it went away. I obviously have done the good sprint fanboy thing and given them the benefit of a doubt (as I'm still here) on most of these issues, but it has gotten to the point where I can't help but wonder when the next price increase will be and why. 5. Yeah Verizon has always had bad prices and I think this only adds to it. Sent from my Evo 3D using Tapatalk
  6. I'd love something like this, but I don't see a way to do it in tapatalk Sent from my Evo 3D using Tapatalk
  7. I could brake it down for you if you didn't get it the first time. Sent from my Evo 3D using Tapatalk
  8. Yes, however im not criticizing him for braking the rules im criticizing him for criticizing me for braking the rules Sent from my Evo 3D using Tapatalk
  9. With all the respect, I don't agree with you bro, if anyone violates their contract and tries to shame someone else for the samething. thats a hypocrite (id also like to blame any mistakes on Swift X's predict text) So with that said yeah Verizon totally sucks and there new plans do to. Sent from my Evo 3D using Tapatalk
  10. I and 1000's of Rooted users couldn't agree more :-) Sent from my Evo 3D using Tapatalk
  11. Best Idea in the world! Sent from my Evo 3D using Tapatalk
  12. Really, straight forward? because if you don't condone tethering unless you pay for it then why do you agree with AJ at all? his argument is its OK as long as it's sparingly Sent from my Evo 3D using Tapatalk
  13. Ok Hmmm... the speed limit analogy is odd because we're talking about something that's unlimited and trying to fit it into a limited MPH scenario. im working with fractal here!... but ill try to "understand" and just go with it. There's just so many real life variables to your analogy we could be 15 post into this and still not agree. So AJ I'm going to just ask you this, at going over 3mph are you or are you not braking the law? Certainly the 25mph is braking it, but are you? Getting upset at someone and criticizing them for the samething you do is just hypocritical. for this, I call you a hypocrit. look at it kinda like a legitimate criticism and not an attack :-) Question: if you steal some shoes from walmart, but get mad because someone else stole a TV what does that make you? and are they or are they not both the same? and as for your example. I tether about the same as you, (mainly because the network in vegas is so slow, and there's wifi everywhere I go) but the difference is I won't criticize someone else for doing it more or less because im doing it also. If you can't understand that then we are just going to have to agree to disagree. Sent from my Evo 3D using Tapatalk
  14. Thanks for all the info, looking at this to be the next phone. Sent from my Evo 3D using Tapatalk
  15. man don't I know it, the 3G in Vegas is 1x at best, but the 4G is ok (where there's service) can't wait for LTE but we're not on any planned list yet :-( Sent from my Evo 3D using Tapatalk
  16. ok im having trouble finding what side of this you are on, on hand you post " Tethering is not free while abiding by the terms and conditions of your contract." then you post "AJ is correct in saying that (shame) on anyone taking advantage of extensive tethering." LMAO! and then you go as far as call extensive use stealing. So what, using it sparingly isn't? if your going to agree that it's ok to brake the rules a little. then you have no right to use them as a sword on someone who might be braking them alot... basicly don't try and talk rules to me if you don't follow them your damn self. At witch point I stand buy my "hate and hypocrisy" statement only now it's also aimed at you!!! Sent from my Evo 3D using Tapatalk
  17. The sentiment of AJ's post was an attack, but i do agree with everyone using the new network only as needed but we all know there are going to be tons of people who will cancel there home internet and use there phone as a modem. I don't like it, but it is what it is bro, get ready to say good bye to unlimited or hello to some kind of major throttling policy. Sent from my Evo 3D using Tapatalk
  18. on another note not to make fun of my verizon friends (ill do that later) but this makes me really happy I stayed with sprint :-) all this time. It also worries me just what sprint might do when there LTE network is more grown. Sent from my Evo 3D using Tapatalk
  19. LMFAO! So much hate and hypocrisy from this post, you know damn well you do the samething. but it's ok so long as it's sparingly... get outta here with that BS! come on man, for reals, really? really? lol sprints 3G speeds are so bad that sparingly is the only way to use it... atleast in my area (Las Vegas) anyway. Shame on me? ok daddy! I'll go to my room with out supper :-( Sent from my Evo 3D using Tapatalk
  20. LMAO! I already share my (unlimited) data with my tablet and laptop for free. Sent from my Rooted Evo 3D using Tapatalk
  21. Chad I don't know how long you have been with sprint but im going on 10+ years, im not saying I'm unhappy with the service, I have a family plan with 5 lines on it... BUT, in my time with sprint I would be living if i didn't say there wasn't a few snugs in the road where I was ready to drop sprint completely, Sprint "today" is a pretty good carrier but us old timers can't help but remember of the old sprint (mainly because it wasn't that long ago) that sprint had the worst customer service in the industry and i would always see hick ups on my bill with little help from sprint to deal with it. So excuse me if the way I add things up in my head doesn't makes sense to you, but to me if there a possibility I could pay it then I add in for good measure and if in the future I don't end up paying it then that's just more money in my pocket. you keep on with why would anyone buy there upgrade and then cancel, and the answer is because you don't know what's going to happen tomarrow, next week, month and even 2 years from now. that's along time sprint can very well change things to upset (maybe not you) but plenty of others let me remind you of some of the changes sprint has made with in that last 24 months that caused some people to get upset and some to cancel 1) ASL: account spending limit, this was added to the lines with not so great credit it was and still is a $5 tax every month because you "might" pay your bill late... not to mention if you do pay your bill late you will also get a late fee. 2) EVP: the Employees Value Program discount changed (this one effected me) before you got your EVP on all the lines in your family plan then one day it changed and you could only get the discount on the initial cost of the plan this costed me an extra $15 a month 3) FP: the family plan changed again. sprint droped it to only $110/month but no longer included the second line. those of us with EVP, our bills went up again. Mine $5 4) PD: Primum Data, it wasn't that long ago that sprint didn't have an extra tax on unlimited data but today they do. every smartphone gets a extra $10 charge every month... my bill went up $50 5) No more upgrades every year :-( Now I know there was others and i can remember off the top of my head but these are some that affected me. If you add them up 50+5+15+5= $75 extra a month I am paying for the same service I got when I first signed this contract im curectly in. I'm not complaining because it's still cheaper then other carries, but am I weary of sprint and there back door policies (you bet!) and more importantly am I going to look at the $375 cancellation fee and add it into the price of the phone just in case... you bet ya! Sent from my Evo 3D using Tapatalk
  22. well then that could put you as much as $825 in the hole. I would just get my phone from CL at that point. Sent from my Evo 3D using Tapatalk
  23. no I was talking about, you have to spend $275 to buy up, plus $200 for the new phone you're buying (new contract price) and now your in another 2 year contract witch would be another $200 to get out of if you wanted to. that equals $675. I would just assume buy the phone off craigslist at that point and I won't be in contract Sent from my Evo 3D using Tapatalk
  24. login to sprint users and you will see ads, it's up to the forum to put them up. unless you have the adfree hack from the market you should see ads, maybe not for this forum because they don't put them up. Sent from my Evo 3D using Tapatalk
