  1. Did you get it?

Woo Hoo. Yes I did this time. It was a long setup. I did the wired migration for the data transfer.

Sprint servers we’re maxed out but was able to do a online swap and I needed to do a dialer code to finish.

Went with The new AppleCare monthly as it covers this iPhone forever. I plan to keep this one for a while.

  2. My iPhone is scheduled to arrive between 2 to 4pm tomorrow.

(wondering who should I pray to to keep the UPS "mice" from stealing my iPhone and putting it on ebay to be sold to a sucker, as it happened last year.)hmmm

I ordered a Pro Max 256 Midnight Green arriving on Friday from Sprint...I have the same issue that MacinJosh has as a SWAC member I can only get the Flex Lease from Sprint...

  4. As the OP I though I'd update this based on my first had experience.
I removed the Cellular Watch Plan via the iPhone ->Watch->My Watch->Cellular->(i)->Remove Sprint Plan.
When I checked MySprint the plan was gone. Just for grins I opened a chat to verify if in fact anything else
needed to be done to remove the plan from my account and was assured the plan was gone.
    This is nice.
Subsequently I came up with a reason to use cellular on the watch again and was able to re-add it from
the same iPhone app. I was assigned a different billing number for the watch but that's not used for anything
    I would be interested in.
So going forward I deduce it's possible to add and delete the Apple Watch cellular plan as needed and only pay for the
days the plan is active it seems. This is all done without requiring Sprint's involvement.

    That is great to learn.
  5. Yes, it should be.
That being said, T-Mobile roaming is enabled on a per site, per band basis. For example, there are sites where Sprint users can only access L2100, sites where Sprint users can only access L700, sites where Sprint users can access a combination of bands, as well as sites where roaming is not allowed altogether.
Your phone should prefer T-Mobile LTE over Sprint EVDO if both are available.

Very interesting! I was wondering why I have never seen T-Mobile roaming. I am in the Chicagoland area. Is Chicagoland a area where I should see/be allowed to native roam on T mobile?

  6. I know I should not be happy as Sprint is dead last with VoLTE but I am. It is working wonderfully for me I still have not connected to any T-Mobile towers yet.

Signal is still low on the strength icons.

Is there a way to switch to a numerical value instead of the strength icons. I know it was possible on the Qualcomm modems?

  7. and of coarse I let my Developer Account lapse......My guess is the Carrier Bundle is the important issue this is the VoLTE bundle I hope 34.5.5.

My belief is that Sprint will give T-mobile native roaming priority to the people running or capable of running VoLTE as to back fill the holes we all know that Sprint has in its OEM towers as VoLTE is sensitive to LTE gaps.

  8. This is purely a guess but now that we know that the VoLTE trigger for the launch devices in the launch markets is in 12.1.1. (Currently Developer Beta 1) with a Carrier Bundle of 34.5.5 they might be using the T-mobile native roaming as a full in for VoLTE and it will be in that same bundle firmware update.

I can’t test this as I let my developer account lapse. I am hoping that the 12.1.1 is opened to beta testers today!

Everything is supported between later V and S iPhone models.(WiFi calling, CA, HD Voice, etc.) Nice thing about iPhones.

Yes everything is supported BUT some of the services need to be "Whitelisted" at the carrier. WiFi calling normally needs to be whitelisted at the carrier level.

Well, my worst dead spot is gone for data thanks to T-Mobile roaming. Now hopefully soon VoLTE will hit the Vegas market and iPhones, and I’ll be good to go. I wish I could say the same thing about my friends iPhone 6s’. They don’t have T-Mobile roaming. It’s odd.

assuming that your friends iPhone is on Sprint I believe the answer is the home labeled T-Mobile "Roaming" you are experiencing is the newer bands and I bet the friends iPhone 6(s)? does have access to those bands in their radio...

Shouldn't it say extended network if it was roaming on T-Mobile?

I believe when Sprint signed the roaming agreement they have it programmed as home area. So no...it's considered as home area for subscribers. now if you happen to use Sprint's towers through a MVNO then I believe you run on just the Sprint Owned towers.

  12. I believe the answer is simple. Sprint and T-mobile signed a roaming agreement and the agreement is to display it as a Sprint area.

And Sadly our Xs's are weaker is signal capture..

  13. I just picked up my replacement Max and now I'm waiting for my watch to stabilize (first gen real slow) so I can unpair it (you have to back up/unpair any watches first) then iTunes backup the old X then new iPhone recovery....

I hope you have better luck than me. I received an empty box from UPS yesterday. Someone in the logistics chain is now enjoying my Max....:(

    WOO HOO!

Sprint made it good. I have a new max order pending...they will send it to a hub this time! :)
