It stands for enhanced circuit switch fallback. For phones with one radio, it needs it to trigger your phone to switch back to 1x for calls or texts when on LTE. I'm sure you can get a better explanation from someone more knowledgeable about this. The area around my house had problems with eCSFB for months. A lot of calls wouldn't go through (in or out) and some texts were super delayed unless I manually put my phone in cdma mode. -
Atleast for the most part they seem to have fixed the eCSFB problems
