Forgive me if this has been covered but I have an interesting find in KC. Now that we are seeing all 3 bands pretty well I have noticed that when my phone goes to band 26 the 1x band camps on Secondary 800 no matter what but when LTE is on 25 or 41 the 1x band is on PCS. It would appear that there is a tie between the two. Even when 1900 voice has great signal as long as LTE is on band 26 it will only use band 10 for voice.
My priorities are set the same as yours. What's interesting is that I have had successful band 41 connections in the past but something has changed in the past month.
After several days of no issues with the phone needlessly falling back to 3G, I enabled band 41 again. After serveral minutes the phone dropped to 3G. So I am not sure why band 41 is causing this but it does appear to be the culprit.
I just had a HD call between my GS2 and a Note 2 over SID 4139 which is 1900. In addition, during my time at Sprint it was stated HD voice would be on 1x advanced which would include SMR and PCS.
Interesting... Well the timing would be about right considering we are under 2 weeks until iDEN is gone. Hopefully this change means the coveted 800SMR is close.
I am in the KC market which began upgrades last year. I didn't think the NID changes for 1x, it was my understanding the switching centers would remain the same for 1x.
